(Obviously doesn't represent my actual game time as i spent all of it on the non-steam retail copy)

Deus Ex to me is the greatest game ever made.
Now that's not to say that it doesn't have its fair share of flaws as no game is ever perfect and they all have their flaws. the graphics even at the time weren't great and were pretty blocky even then, the AI can be really stupid at times and a lot of the foreign voice acting is laughable at best but what makes Deus Ex so great isn't any individual aspect on it's own but the experience as a whole.

From one of the most amazing and memorable soundtracks of all time, to one of the best storys in videogame history full of plot twists and memorable characters, to the wide open level design and the sheer variety of gameplay methods to tackle each mission, even to all the different conversation choices that can make a serious impact down the line.
It's all these elements combined together that makes Deus Ex truly a one of a kind game that is unlike any other and even if you are one of the people that can't get past dated graphics and some of the gameplay features, there are plenty of mods out there that can help make the game feel even better.

Theres even tons of replay value as well with all the different choices and augmentations that you can take as well as all the secrets that you can find on each level if you look hard enough, i was still finding new secrets years after i finished the game for the first time. Bottom line is if you even have a slight interest in Action/Role Playing/Stealth or just terrific story telling in general then Deus Ex is a game that you must experience in your lifetime.
