This was really interesting, very unique mechanics for a horror game, you learn how to work with this unique gameplay and then along the way it gets creepier and creepier. Very mysterious, sound design made it all very creepy, the locations you have to visit were doing a lot of world building without words.

SPOLERS AHEAD (because I have to share some love for such great moments):
This one particular photo you take with this thing looking at you towards the end was really creepy, and right after I felt a need to rush to the end, all of that was just so well done making it all tense and panic inducing. And the end I nearly jumped off my chair too. Really nice.

It was also cool to have a little bump on a sub and you don't have to backtrack as much. Just good game design all around.
