Another call, one of my first as Paramedic, was to a nursing home. An elderly lady had been complaining of chest pain. When attaching leads for the cardiac monitor, we would just use the back of a gloved hand to move the breast out of the way. She was a small lady, but her breasts were quite disproportionate. I had to slide my hand underneath the breast to move it….something fell! I reached down to the bed, and retrieved a biscuit! She reached and took it, saying, “I saved that from breakfast. I'm keeping it Warm!” You never know what to expect!
