I've been a fan of Scribblenauts for years, and I've finally gotten the chance to replay this gem (thanks to HumbleBundle's 0,87€ bundle, haha)

In a world where dragons, robots and regular people coexist together, Maxwell goes on a quest to save his sister Lilly.
Equipped with but a mere notepad and a globus, he needs to collect 60 starites in order to break the spell of stone cast on his sister.

This game, while it doesn't have any hard puzzles, does in fact require a bit of creativity and thinking outside of the box. Need to help a cat stuck on a tree? Just write "wings" in your notepad and fly to kitty's rescue!

I've completed every level 100%, everything that's left is object starites, which I didn't find that fun working on. This is a great family game, and I enjoyed it very much.

This is literally the best MMORPG I've ever played. It used to be too grind-y, and it's too easy now, but it has most enjoyable storylines out there. The F2P model is great, and you'll get all of the expansions FOREVER if you sub for one (1!) month.

If you're playing on Darth Malgus, feel free to add me. I'm mostly playing as Aleus Romello these days, but I've got 7-8 years old characters like Adriator which I use from time to time.

I waited three years for this game, so I guess a review is due.

Do I recommend Magical Diary: Wolf Hall?
Hell yes!*

But what's with the * then?

Well, there are some things you should probably know about this game before you purchase it.
It's a redo of the first game (Horse Hall), set in the same first year, with the familiar characters of Donald, Virginia, Minnie, William, Damien, etc, but without the female protagonist from Horse Hall.
Instead of her, there's a foreign exchange student from the Balkans (Most probably Croatia) whose rich parents made a deal with the school to offer him a unique experience at a completely new surrounding without the luxuries of his home.

The following year at Iris Academy will be exciting, with lots of ups and downs, new friendships, new knowledge, even romance! And it is up to you to decide how it all plays out.

The average playthrough should be around 10-11 hours, although you may probably see it took me 14.5 hours for my first try. The game offers a lot of unique choices, beautiful art, breathtaking music (seriously, I can't stop listening to the soundtracks, especially americana!), some interesting dungeon designs (there are 8 dungeons/exams in the game).

Unfortunately, there's a massive downside to the storyline that really made me feel disappointed, and that's.. I'll try to explain it. The first half of the game (up to the Christmas break) feels so alive, there's always something happening, something going on, a day can't pass without there being an event, like a prank from Donald, hanging out with William, the class president election, etc, etc. But the second half of the game (from the Christmas break to May the 1st) feels incredibly empty. A single conversation on every fifth day, one event in a month, 4-5 dungeons crammed together in a really close span to fill up the emptiness.. The first part took me like 10 hours and the second like 4.. It just made me a bit sad. Don't get me wrong, I totally love the game, and still 100% recommend buying it at full price like I did, but it's just something to note.

Overall it's an another great game from Hanako, 100% must get for every fan of Magical Diary or of a magical school ideas.

Much better than originally anticipated.
A Visual Novel with solid writing, nice art and good music.
Big plot twist at the end, very likable characters, and the price is only $5.
Took me around 1,6 hours to beat. Even though the game's short, it still leaves you with a lot of feelings for it.
Just what I needed to cheer me up. Thanks, game devs.

Oh, and I almost cried at the end. That doesn't happen often.

The best Pirate game there is.

I've literally spent my whole childhood battling pirates on open seas, dancing with beautiful ladies, finding hidden treasures and becoming the most notorious pirate on the top ten list.
No, seriously, you can play this game over and over again and it never gets boring. Heck, I've come to a point where I could finish it in an hour or two if I wanted to.
This game is just fantastic, I'd go as far as to name it Sid Meier and Firaxis' magnum opus.

A short, but very entertaining and touchy visual novel.
I finished it in one breath.
Feels a lot like Hogwarts, with a lot of similarities;
  • You can purchase a wand
  • There are three Halls: (Houses) Horse Hall, Butterfly Hall and Snake Hall.
  • PROFESSOR GRABINER! Seriously, just look at him.
And a lot of other similarities, but let's get to other parts of the game.

You can choose which classes you will attend to, which means you can actually refuse to attend any classes and even earn an achievement for that.

There are five types of magic (and magic classes):
1. Red Magic (Controlling elements and doing harm to others)
2. Blue Magic (Teleporting, shielding)
3. Green Magic (Healing)
4. Black Magic (Changing physical objects
5. White Magic (Soul magic)

At the end of every month, you'll have an exam, in which you have to use learned spells to pass it.
If you pass it, you earn Merits. If you fail, you earn Demerits. Earn enough Demerits, and you'll be expelled.

The story is very well written, characters are well developed, and conversations are very entertaining.

I personally decided to romance Damien, just to see how it would turn out and I was pleasantly surprised at the twist.

Well, that's about it.

P.S. I'll never understand Professor Potsdam, even though she's cool as a professor.

ATTENTION!
The following paragraph was written after finishing five out of twenty one chapters. To view the review after completing the game, scroll down. There will be spoilers which you may see by hovering over the black bars with your mouse.

I've only played up to the fifth chapter (To the first sex scene, and then my mom walked into the room), and I can freely say this game isn't worth 0,22€ I've paid for it. It's worth much more!
The story is very interesting, the music is greatly darkening the atmosphere (almost pissed myself at some point lmao), and the art is just fantastic!
Besides the few gramatical errors that the devs are working on, I'd rate this game 9,5/10.
And I don't even like visual novels.

One thing I've forgotten to mention is that this game contains QTEs, or Quick Time Events.
Most of the people who play this game might find this very annoying, but worry not my fellow Visual Novel readers! QTEs are a rare occurence, and as such there were maybe 10 of them in total.

So, without further ado, let's get to..
The final review!

Short Summary: Your name is Oleg. You boarded a train to Moscow, but around sixty kilometers 'til Moscow, the train suddenly stops and people start dying everywhere around you. You suspect the pink mist that suddenly appeared over the sky.

A Visual Novel with very interesting art. People are very realistically drawn, and might I add that some of them look absolutely fabulous (Nicolay and Irene, I'm talking about you!)
There actually is one sex scene, so be careful not to repeat my mistake and watch it while your mom is entering the room..

The game has actually 21 chapter, so if you finished in, perhaps, 2 hours, then you've made the wrong choice and wouldn't last two minutes in a real apocalypse.
Even though it gives you the illusion of choice, usually it's either "the right choice or the end".
Do not get me wrong, there really are some game-altering choices in it. Perhaps letting that girl Oleg had sex with go to the store? I haven't really tried stopping her from doing so.

The game is very depressing throughout the whole playthrough, and I hate to admit that I almost cried at some points.
Alexander Petrovich's death had hit me like a truck. I just couldn't believe it - the leader of our group, probably the sole reason we were alive, shot down by a rapist criminal?
I still regret making some choices, but I refused to go back a few chapters and re-do them. I'll probably never play this game again, as it'd destroy the feelings I have about it.
Those were the most well-spent 6-7 hours I've had for the last few years.
Thank you, game devs, for this wonderful piece of art.
Thank you, for making my life a more tolerable experience.
I think I'll go to my room and cry for a bit now.

Ah, Cossacks: Art of War.
The strategy game of my childhood.
Since 2004, when my father'd introduced me to the world of PC gaming, this is perhaps the most wonderful RTS game I've ever played.
There were three RTS games back then for me and my uncle (my father preffered playing Max Payne);
Cossacks, Empire Earth and Battle For Middle Earth 2
My uncle had spent thousands of hours on the latter two, he's playing Empire Earth now as I speak!
Yes, I loved all three games, Empire Earth's fantastic editor, always making up stories in my head, or Battle For Middle Earth, imagining how I was trying to get the ring for myself. But that's enough about those two, this is a Cossacks: Art of War review, after all.
My favourite RTS game was, and still is Cossacks; Art of War.
I remember how I was always frustrated when I had to install European Wars first, because it'd take too long.
I remember how the first thing I did when I installed and booted up the game was to enter the editor and write "money" dozens of times, and then the party would begin.
I'd turn the peace mode on, generate the map of Europe and imagine that I'm a conqueror who's main goal is to destroy his enemies, make alliances with other factions (controlled by me, of course) and just create a lot of building and units and make them fight.
My uncle still refuses to play 1vs1 against me, he preffers to play vs. AI.
But I'll make him play multiplayer one day, and people of Cossacks will celebrate that day as the day Tycho the Glorius defeated Uncle the RTS Master.

10/10 would play again
