Beyond Eyes was a game that had a really interesting idea but unfortunately executed it very poorly. I love "walking simulator" type games, Gone Home, Firewatch, Edith Finch are all game that I loved and would highly recommend but this one unfortunately falls short and does a LOT wrong. The movement in this game is EXTREMELY slow and the fact that you're playing as a blind person means your view of where your'e going is extremely limited. While this is realistic, it does not make for a pleasant gaming experience. Even though I finished the game in only 2 hours, it felt like an eternity. The story didn't grab me at all and the gameplay was a slog to get through. I just can't recommend this game, even if you're a fan of narrative driven games such as the others mentioned above.

Batman Arkham Origins is another great entry in the Arkham series but it does have a couple minor issues. Lets start with the good. The combat and overall gameplay that the Arkham series is known for is present here and is great fun as always, The cast of characters in this game is absolutely fantastic and the boss fights are some of the best in the series. In particular I loved the Mad Hatter section and as a fan of the character is was great playing through his section. I'd say all the boss fights here are great and are a joy to play through. The game also allows for you to explore Gotham with all of Batman's gadgets and such, and gliding through the city feels and looks great. Now for some of the issues I have with the game. There were a few cases of some bugs where enemies would get stuck in walls, or go flying into the sky but nothing that broke the game at all, and it didn't happen too often. The story, while a very good and interesting story, did seem like it ended right when I was really getting into it. It's still a great story, but I wish it was allowed maybe an extra 2-3 hours to really explore what else it could have offered, although once again, it's very good and memorable. If you're a fan of the previous Arkham games, just a Batman fan in general, or just looking for a good beat em up, I think you'll thoroughly enjoy this game.

I went into this game getting having only ever played Assassin's Creed Origin's in the series. This game builds off of Origin's brilliantly, expanding the combat and world building. The world building in this game is one of the best I've played in recent memory. Whether it's walking through the forest hunting for deer, or walking through Athens at night, seeing the residents gathered around a musician playing a tune, you really do feel like this is a lived in world and that you are a part of it. The story is a simple story that does an ok job at keeping you interested but it won't leave you thinking about it for months after. The story and ending are affected by choices you make throughout the game however so there is some replay value in there if you're into that. There's a wide cast of characters as well and many of them are memorable. Overall, it's a blast exploring ancient Greece, seeing the world and taking down bandit camp after bandit camp however the main gameplay loop is repetitive however that didn't bother me and kept me entertained throughout my 60+ hours spent in the game. The game frequently goes on sale so I'd definitely pick it up if you're interested.

There really isn't a reason not to play this game. The game is short but it doesn't feel like a 2 hour experience. The story it tells is engaging and has multiple endings so you can replay it to try and get each ending. This won't feel like a chore either since the combat is very fun and you can upgrade your character's attacks and stats to suit your playstyle. The world the game creates is interesting and the characters you meet are memorable. I recommend everyone plays this game at least once as it tells a story that touches on some emotional subjects and will stick with you.
