When I saw the concept of an anime beat em up with fan service galore, and a cast of yuri characters, the degenerate in me was very excited. I even got the complete edition do get access to all the outifts. Unfortunately, the best part of this game is the dressing room. There are tons, and I mean TONS of customization options and the girls are all cute enough, but in order to level up each character you have to sit there either tapping the girls, or completing the same repetitive minigame for upwards of 30-40 minutes, FOR EVERY CHARACTER. The main story consists of levels with visual novel style dialogue but these drag on for waaaay too long and I ended up just skipping them hoping for some good beat em up combat. The combat is good, but unfortunately the enemies are all just sponges that have waaay too much health. Even the most basic enemies take a while to kill meaning everything in this game is just one big massive grind. It makes what could have easily been a really fun beat em up, a grindy game where everything takes far too long to get through. If you're desperate for a fan service game then sure get it on sale, but don't expect much from it gameplay wise.

GRIP is a great racing game that sadly falls just short of being fantastic. To start off, the core gameplay is great, the cars feel amazing, they have weight to them and you really do feel in control most of the time. The gimmick of this game is that you can drive on things like walls, and ceilings. Think anti-gravity in Mario Kart 8 but actually good. You can see the other racers on the ceilings, and hit them with items and make them fall down, losing a lot of speed and time. You can also jump while racing which is a cool addition. There's a variety of modes such as a battle mode and campaign, but sadly it's near impossible to find an online match so you'll be spending your time in the offline modes which are fun, but get old quick. If you can get it on sale, or get some friends together, you have a fantastic racing game on your hands.

Let's be honest, you're not buying this game for the gameplay, you're buying it for the achievements, and yes the achievements are great and all but the gameplay is surprisingly all right for this game. The later puzzles will make you think a little and although sometimes the physics don't work the greatest and you will fail levels through no fault of your own, for the price, its not a bad puzzle game. If you like physic based puzzle games, you can definitely do worse for the price.

Sakura Swim Club is an extremely basic and shameless visual novel. It knows what it is and it does that well. It's not trying to be a super deep or emotional visual novel, it tries to be a visual novel that you can just turn on and read and have a little fun with it. Yes there are 18+ patches that will allow you to view the more adult scenes in full detail, they're not great, they're just one still image but they're fine for the novel. You're not getting this game for the most gripping story ever, or the most amazing 18+ scenes, you're getting it for a cheap and quick fun night that allows you to feel something as you sit alone in your room at 2am dreaming about how nice it would be to have a girl friend. If you know what you're getting this game for, it serves its purpose. If you're getting it because you want to read an amazing visual novel, look somewhere else, probably far far away from the Sakura games.

I'm very conflicted about this game because I want to love it, I really do. The art style, the music, the whole theme of it. It's all unique and very nicely well done. There's so many little details such as the lofi music mode in your room, the little nods to corporate business structure, and the parodies that each of the 3 dungeons are themed after. The aesthetic of this game if fantastic. They really did nail every aspect of it. Unfortunately the developers failed on the most important part of an action game. THE COMBAT IS A MESS. Your dodges leave you vulnerable and the way the rooms and dungeons are set up, there's explosives, and traps, and hazards filling every room on top of 4-5 enemies and you simply do not have the necessary space or dodging abilities to properly avoid damage. There's also virtually no hit invincibility period so if you get cornered, your run's done. The dungeons are simply not laid out properly for the movement options the game gives you. It's a shame because this game could have been truly fantastic but there's just so many games that have combat systems that work so much better that it's hard to recommend this game over those.

I got this game in the NukGames pack along with 3 other games for a grand total of 49 cents and for that price, yes pick up the bundle which includes this games surprisingly good soundtrack as well. However, for the usual 5 dollars asking price for this game I can't recommend it. The entire game can beaten using only 1 or 2 of the 8 towers. You're also limited to how many towers can be placed at each level meaning about halfway through every level you're just sitting there waiting to be able to spawn the next wave. The game is stupidly easy, and considering Bloons 6 goes on sale quite frequently for 2 or even 1 dollars there really isn't a reason to get this game unless you're buying it for the 240 achievements which you can easily get. If you're just dying to play a flash site tower defense game with a ton of achievements, then sure get it on sale or in the NukGames pack. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Let me start off this review by saying that I got all the achievements for this game, i did everything you can do in this game and all in under 10 hours. This game is not worth full price at all. I got this game at 50% off and I think some people will be ok with it at that price. I watched the anime this game is based off and let me say, the game captures the personalities and looks of all the characters very well, and you do feel like you stepped right into an episode from the anime. The game looks great, and all the characters feel like themselves, and the tricks they do and dialogue between them all fit them perfectly. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. I knew I was in for a treat when I realized this game has no button prompts for controllers. I had to look up online what buttons did what while my controller was plugged in. It took me 30 minutes to get through the tutorial alone because of this. As a racing game, it fails miserably. The controls for turning are so loose and wonky that you will find yourself crashing into walls left and right. Luckily this isn't a problem because this game is so mind numbingly easy that you will hardly ever even see the other racers. This isn't an exageration. I frequently finished with times 40+ seconds faster than the AI. And THERE ARE NO DIFFICULTY SETTINGS AT ALL. Also, the tracks are extremely bland with no shortcuts, and hardly any alternating routes. The races also last way too long, often lasting between 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 minutes. The story mode is a bore, having you do the same races with each of the pairs of characters, and then the game developers needed to pad the game time even more by adding these 2 edge lord characters who act as villains? I don't know, I was checked out by this point and these characters were dumb, bland, and extremely unnecessary. Ok so the racing is lame, what about the fan service? This game must have tons of fan service considering the anime had an uncensored version where we're already seen all these characters tits so the game must offer plenty of fan service right? NOPE. If you wanted to get the game for the fan service, sorry but seeing the characters in basic bikinis is the best you'll get. This game disappoints on every aspect except the visuals. Do not waste your money on this game, unless you're just dying to see Misa-chan in a bikini with a cat tail.

My first experience with the YS series was with YS VIII Lacrimosa of Dana on the switch which i absolutely adored. It's become one of my favorite games and led me on a journey to play all the YS games on Steam. This game is Lacrimosa of Dana just not quite as good. This doesn't make Memories of Celceta a bad game, far from it actually. The similarities between the 2 games are quite obvious. Both have the same party system and are modern Ys games which mean you'll be exploring a big open map by traveling to different dungeons or towns or other areas of importance through these open pathed areas. If you've played a YS game before, you know what I'm talking about. The combat is fun and smooth but the camera isn't the greatest, especially on certain boss fights, but it never felt too awful, just not ideal at times. The music as with any YS game, is fantastic. The story is solid and is full of memorable characters, but the ending of the game left me a little disappointed. The game isn't as good or long as Lacrimosa of Dana, and that's where I would recommend you start your YS journey, if this one looked interesting to you, however this is far from a bad game. It's a good action jrpg that unfortunately is stuck in the shadow of its more recent successor. If you're a fan of the YS series and action jrpgs then you'll enjoy this game.

A Short Hike isn't a game that will wow you with its crazy innovative gameplay, or its complex emotional story, or its hours upon hours of quests and missions to complete but its instead a game that will wow you with its simplistic beauty, and the lesson it teaches you. A Short Hike is a game about exactly what you'd expect from the title. Its a game about going on a short hike to the top of a mountain and the journey that you will go on, and the characters you meet along the way. The game can easily be finished in an hour if you rush to the top of the mountain and if you play it that way, you're going to be disappointed however you'll find yourself exploring the island and looking for little secrets and characters to help and you'll soon find yourself almost forgetting about the reason you started your adventure. The game teaches you about enjoying the little things in life and how its important to not rush to your end goal all the time and to instead take your time and do things that you want to do, and to experience new things. The movement in this game is incredible and you'll find yourself gliding across the entire island without touching the ground. All the little details and extra things you can do on the island such as fishing, or competing in races, or helping other characters with their problems keep you playing long after you reach your destination. This game is one of the most enjoyable and charming games I've played in a long time and if you haven't played it yet, get your hiking boots on and begin your hike to the top of Hawk Peak. You won't regret a second of it.

This Strange Realm of Mine is a phylosophical game that looks to answer some deep questions about God, life, death, and other topics. While I personally don't agree with everything that the game says, it's very clear that the developer put a lot of time, effort and passion into this project and it shows. The world's and characters you meet along your journey to find these answer's are very well done, and stick with you after your play through. There's also multiple endings based on the choices you make throughout the game which is a really nice touch for a game like this. The gun play is solid, but nothing special. It does a good job and I had no issues with it at all. The puzzles were all simple, but still fun to solve. The music in this game is incredible as well. This game is pretty unique to other games I've played and I think it's a very good experience that will make you think long after you finish it.
