Ok, I really wanted to like this game. I really do. But for goodness sake Buddy takes forever to bark your ear off about gun history, scenarios of the American Dream and gun colloquialisms.

I'll try to narrow it down, because I can't seem to narrow my sights properly on the pistols and rifles. It's fun where it counts; aim down sights, shoot gun, eject magazine, reload magazines in the air like a cool guy. Buddy can't STFU, I could forgive buddy if he was funny. Except he's not. His Transatlantic accent gets grating when you don't have stuff to shoot at until he gives you something to do. Walking you step by step as 'a true American patriot' grows up. I stopped after the car wash after he decided to yap in my ear about the Thompson submachine gun's history.

I just can't recommend it in its current state.

Just skip this, it's not even worth waitng for a discount at a dollar or less.

Want to make a legit version of those 80s neon pink square grid ground patterns? This software can do that. Plus a lot of other things too which is very fun to play with.

P.S. Also the guy making this is super cool, I would give this two thumbs up if I could; just for being a cool guy.

Current Review: Yeah I keep looking at this thinking if I want to play this game again. Only to be reminded of the current state of this games reviews and it's a hard pass from me dawg.

Old Review:
This is seriously one of the best games ever made. I lose a lot yes, but the adrenaline rush of trying not to die is such a thrill!

I never wrote a review for this but I'm going to add to the negative. Also I thought it would be appropriate to post this on this date.

Creation Club in it's current state is a detriment to Bethesda and they don't even want to admit it.

  • Modders who submit to the Creation Club will gain no profit from the sales.
  • Extreamly large downloads don't fit the CC requirements. Big new quests or dialoge won't fit
  • Game owners can't buy the mods (or mini DLCs) directly. They have to buy credits which causes having to buy $8 again when you need that 1 extra credit.

Please fix or remove the Creation Club or your statement last E3 on "Bethesda continues to support the mod community" is a horrendous lie.

I'm only reccomending this game because... better games like this should exist. But I don't have the brain power to handle this fast paced shooter.

I swear I feel like I need an IV drip of Monster Energy Drink just to be one tenth better than a non-contributing zero.

I think the game is good, I'm just terribad at it. I only did a refund because I wasn't having fun with it. If your hand eye co-ordination is great and can throw energy discs and can build bots fast. Buy it. I just can't build bots fast enough.

I'm giving this a very weak reccomendation. It feels like an Early Access game when it isn't.

The graphics are great but unoptimized to a point where there's lag in the hands. It's an OK sitdown experience with some chuckles here and there. There is 17 achievements and I beat the 20-40ish minute game with both endings. I got none of them. That part eludes me.

The hands in the game lag as I've said before. The main menu has a demonstration controller that shows what button does what. It sits right in front of the player and it has physics, meaning it's in the way of the main menu. The fingers on the gloves have a large hit box and the switches are tiny. So there is a lot of 'fingers too fat' situations where I had to jam my sausage fingers (heh) in the switches to make them flip. Too often where I make too frantic movements, I accidently press something and kill myself. The buttons are highlighted so I know what to press, it is just nearby another button that I'm not supposed to press. Knowing what to press and unable to press it causes the Russians to repeat the same command over and over again. So jank buttons + fat fingers + laggy hands + annoying Russian command center = frustrations.

It is redundant to bring up 'at least the price is ok' because I don't think the price justifies buying this. The win screen looks pretty half assed on both endings. The "You Win" part looks like it was cobbled together with rectangle brick primatives in the unreal engine.

I'd say, wait until they patch it or get a beefier computer. My computer is pretty beef, it can handle Rick and Morty and Job Simulator but I do not know what to think about this one. It seems polished but it needs a good spit shine here and there to be worthy of the $5 price.

TL;DR Guns are good, story is great, the game is a 9/10, let's celebrate! Oh, did I miss the party? Well the game is good anyway.

A bit late for a review of an old game. It is still a good one.

BJ Blazkowicz is still fighting the good fight against Nazi scum. However the war looks to be lost as the Nazis have advanced technology somehow. The U.S. makes a final push against the villain of the current game Deathshead. A returning villain from past games. BJ and the crew get caught off guard and lose the battle then the war.

After a near death experience, BJ wakes up to a world of Nazis where nothing is the same. After coming back from being in a vegitative state with shrapnel in his brain. He kills a Nazi. The big southern chunk head continues his killing spree until he finds a resistance to join. Getting new guns and other weapons of Nazi killing destruction along the way.

The game feels like a true blue modern version of old first person shooters (with a hint of modern). The player is able to hold more than two weapons. As well as more than two of each one, double the pleasure, double the fun. Duel weild shot guns, assult rifles, bolt action rifles, pistols and knives. Health packs make a triumphant return (along with other games before this). However to make up for the annoying 1 health left problem some gamers encounter, health regenerates in intervals of 20. Giving somewhat of an edge on the battle. Overall the experience is a well polished game especially for newer computers. Framerates can differ for computers but I had a full 60 frames per second (or greater than) playthrough.

I beat the game several times enough to get all the achievements. Playing on Über difficulty (it unlocks after the game is beaten once) gives you 999 health and all the Nazi... still felt the same. Only the weapons do more damage. There is no multiplayer and I could not be anymore happy for this fact. It feels great not having to worry about online achievements or the game feeling castrated to make room for online features.

The game is well written for 95% of the game, it had good drama and good comedy moments throughout. However one moment in the game:

Spoiler:
It happens in the end where BJ finally is about to finish the main antagonist. A roughly 100 year old man, grabs BJ by the wrist, a 50ish year old muscular chunk head, Deathshead pulls out a grenade, arm extended, barely holding on to it. BJ does absolutely nothing. He doesn't stab Deathshead in the... head, grab the grenade and throw it away. He just stands there like a punk ♥♥♥♥♥. What the hell BJ? Then there was this was supposed to be a sad moment where a dying BJ was sacrificing himself so that others can get away. I just found how BJ sacrifices himself to be pretty stupid. If the player falls down to his death in some pit, BJ monologues "Stupid way to die". THIS. THIS was a stupid way to die BJ.

Other than that part, the rest of the game feels worth it. As some say, 'it's not about the destination, it was about the journey'. The journey was painted with the blood of Nazi scum. I give this game a high 9/10. I can't give it a point for the one moment in the game. If it was not for that one part, this would be a 10/10.

A review about V1.0

TL;DR Game is good, game is buggy, go buy it anyway.

Pros
  • Funny
  • Well drawn sprites
  • Gameplay

Cons
  • Missing sound effects
  • Gameplay
  • Minor bugs

In it's current state, it's a solid game. The gameplay is good where it counts. Especially the boss fights, since you're the boss fighting the good guy with death machines. They resemble past boss fights like Final Fantasy, Sonic, etc. The goal of capturing the princess is about the same as playing the good guy. Fight good enemies, open treasure chests and collecting coins. The usual.

Picking up princesses will alter the gameplay after you pick them up. The bee princess will make Crow's (lead character) jumps floaty. Because her wings are flapping in a panic. It is a rather funny game all in all. The loading screens are practically non existant as they only flash on screen for a second.

However the game is in version 1.0. So there is a bunch of missing sound effects from the good henchmen that protect the princess. The platforming needs some polish. As there is no warning of when stuff may come up. Unlike in Mega Man, they spell out what kind of attacks an enemy has. There is no spacing between the player and the enemy. So expect some moments of "How was I supposed to avoid/get that?"

There are destructable cubes that Crow can destroy. Very small amount of moments occur when a cube does not line up with other platforms. Jumping and punching do not seem to pair up properly. It is different then Castlevania with the whip delay and more like jumping and attacking do not work as often as they should. So there is moments of punching the air on the ground when the player is trying to jump and attack.

In conclusion I do reccomend this game to anyone who likes the concept of playing the villain. It is just that this game still needs some finishing touches on it's master plan. Mua-ha-ha!
