But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

God expects us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves, which forms the foundation of His expectations.
This love is expressed through holiness, meaning to be sacred and pure in all conduct, striving to reflect God's holy character as He is holy.
Additionally, God expects His followers to be set apart, actively pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace while fleeing from worldly passions, and being prepared for every good work.
While God's standards require perfection, He does not expect us to achieve this on our own; instead, He offers grace through Jesus Christ, who died to take away our sins, and He empowers believers through the Holy Spirit to grow in obedience and holiness.
Ultimately, God desires a personal relationship with us, not merely outward performance, and He wants us to become conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.
