When I first played it, it sucked me in so deep I forgot every other game I enjoyed playing and felt lost after I finished all of the content. (Though the DLC adds an array of replayable content that would make it last far longer, and so it sucks me in again.) That said, this game has problems. Although there is much to enjoy about the gameplay, and I do, I'd compare it to pathologic 2 - the gameplay can be slow or frustrating at times, even stressful, but you don't play it just for that, you play it for the atmosphere, mood etc, which can make the occasionally frustrating gameplay feel much better than it would. The atmosphere is so good that I even consider regions, some traps, and most of the creatures as spoilers (particularly one blue/brown enemy, which is particularly frustrating yet atmospheric and intense) even if they have no real story relevance, because seeing them for the first time is so amazing.

I'd say the biggest problem with the game is the one seemingly impossible to fix, which is the camera- the visuals of the game require each camera view to be from a fixed position, meaning the camera *isn't* centered around you, and at times you have to get close to the edge of a screen before it moves. Usually this won't kill you unless you have really slow reaction time or run into things too fast without listening to audio cues, but it can be frustrating. I can think of just one situation where the camera system makes for an unavoidable risk of death (where the solution is to go through a different set of rooms entirely that lack this risk)

edit: mods have fixed the camera issue??????
