Really addictive but simple game, It is rather challenging, even on the easy difficulty level. It does feel a bit repetitive after many replays, although the variations in ship, crew and achievements.

My god the NOSTALGIA! This game was one of the first ones that I ever played back in the day and replaying this just hit hard in the feels, I felt like a young student again! So far no technical issues, the graphics are as they should be back then, so it is a fair price to pay for 4 euro. If you are passionate like me for Heroes of Might & Magic franchise you should add this little gem to your collection! You might actually the retro game-play too! Have fun!

One of the top and very best old adventure games! A must have especially if you have played it back then! :)

The gameplay on a mouse+keyboard is really very weird and unfortunately it quickly becomes boring and unpleasant in the end. I grabbed it on a very low price and for that price I can say it is alright but definitely not if you buy it at its full overblown price.
However the graphics are really nice, the career mode, both as a player or trainer have offered me some fun, but it becomes repetitive and it is not as rich as other football managers. TLDR buy it only on sales.

When you do not feel the grief of losing a soldier (only an android) then no, it is not X-COM. As a 10 GBP story-based campaign it is fair price. But as an actual X-COM game, it is disappointing. When a mission goes south you cannot restart the mission immediately, you have to wait until all your team members are killed which really it is out of the point, since the mission has to restart anyway.
I will update the review, as soon as I finish the campaign.
Edit:
Although the UI needs a LOT of rework, i.e. a home button that will take you straight to the notification screen is necessary (unless i missed it) and there are bugs, I started actually having fun and enjoy the campaign. I still believe it is not X-COM game if you have no fear that you will lose your favourite soldier right from the start while you are growing together with your crew. I am changing my vote from negative to positive, because the price was FAIR as I said in my first review and the game has some depth, the voice-overs could be better but "sometimes" they are fun to hear especially during battle when they are on point. Breaches are fun, the 3 level missions demand a clever use of one-time abilities, and overall the game as long as you progress in it, shows its strengths. Give it time, it will grow on you too... :)

Although the last expansion tried to make things better, unfortunately it cannot surpass in gameplay its predecessor Civ V.
Although for me Civ V is a much better game, I slowly fell in love with this one too. It should be a lesson for AAA titles not to rush publishing a game if it is not ready. I still love playing Civ V after so many years and Civ VI just needed the updated to become more attractive and playable. Still, there is a lot of room for improvements but please take it slow for Civ VII... There is no rush ;) So many achievements yet to do...
