Satisfyingly zen opportunity to handle thick wads.

The core loop is receiving a stack of cash from a heist, cleaning, sorting, and organising it, and then shipping it off in the improved state. This is very pleasant, and you build up a surplus from each order that simplifies completing later ones. The progression in cash counting devices and storage solutions feels well-structured, and there's a few pleasant secrets to find, along with a cliche story (amnesiac prisoner - who to trust?) that goes in some fun directions.

The game is a little rough around the edges, and perhaps could have spent some more time in the oven. For example, there's four in-game purchaseable speakers that all play the same classic radio (which I found quickly boring). Further, some of the tasks are too finicky (such as filtering between marked and unmarked notes under UV light, disassembling stacks, and searching for the collectable notes) and could be further automated (you are required to bundle individual stacks, cash counters cease operations until you do so).

I didn't find myself paying attention to the story, much, as it's overly delivered in text messages. These disturb the flow of the game, as you have to stop counting cash to read them. Initial voice acting giving way to texts felt incongruous with the gameplay loop.

Despite these gripes, heartily recommend. I want more.

computer players are devoid of character; - stings in the age of large language models)

gonna follow in pursuit of more elements, fun premise, but feels super slow for my addled self
