**Full disclosure: Got this game as a birthday present**

TL;DR: Buy this game, it's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good, despite some glaring technical flaws.

This is a really rock-solid twin-stick Cyberpunk RPG. The game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ton of fun to play, even though I had numerous technical issues with it, (Constant random crashes, all my gear getting wiped off my character,) I still kept booting this game back up to continue because it's just a really solid game overall.

I would wait for the next patch before you pick this, and for the devs to iron out the online stability a little bit more as well, but highly, HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who likes shooters, cyberpunk, or just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good games.

(The COOP is really fun when it worked for me too, but again, I would wait for the next patch if you're buying it for the COOP.)

Who the ♥♥♥♥ locks cosmetics, that you pay actual money for, behind in-game challenges?

I didn't read the fine print here, and this bit me in the ass. Such a ♥♥♥♥ move on the developers part for doing this. Especially because some the challenges you need to complete to unlock these are a huge pain in the ass.

*For the record, I have a lot more time in this game across PS4 and Switch than is listed on Steam for my playtime*

Fun game I can't recommend because the community around this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic. Doesn't really matter between survivor or killer players, this game often boils down to who is going to be more scummy rather than who actually plays the game better. Not to mention the plethora of broken perk builds and bugs. New players to this game are going to get turned off by not only a steep learning curve, (there is a surprising amount of depth to the core gameplay "loop",) but also just how unwelcoming a majority of the core community is.

Every single time I think about re-installing this game, I think about the last time I played with some players off of the Discord who "um, actully-d" me for the entire time we were playing and that keeps me from ever returning to this game, no matter how much I would like to play it.

TL;DR - Game itself is really fun, despite its glaring flaws, but the core community will be the reason you stop playing.

Great RE game, I liked it even better than 7.

Had a few issues with some crashes and some performance issues as well, (stuttering from particle effects), but after updating my graphics card drivers it seems to have ironed out those issues.

So before I start, yes; I 100% recommend this game. I think it is something everyone who is mildly interested in storytelling and video games as a whole should at least try.

With that out of the way, I picked up Death Stranding when it was on sale earlier this year, after and entire year of nagging from one of my friend's who swore up and down that this game is incredible. I am honestly not the biggest Kojima stan, I don't have an issue with him or his games, but if you know, you know how his writing and characters can be.

So I picked the game up and stated working my way slowly though it, a couple hours at a time. I found myself enjoying the gameplay, but the opening story exposition is a lot of famous people talking at you, which I was not enjoying very much.

Once the game gets rolling when you get to the second major area, I found it very satisfying to complete deliveries, obtaining new gear, figuring out the best routes, and occasionally, eating ♥♥♥♥ into the ground because you overestimated a jump. Still only a few hours at a time.

Then suddenly, something clicked and all I could think about was this game. I think the major contributing factor of that was the community around this game. See, Death Stranding takes a Dark Souls approach to its online elements, which indirect player interactions. For instance, you bust your ass to rebuild a road? That road can show up in other players games. You build one zipline? Another player can build another in their game and they connect.

I found myself wanting to reconnect everything I could find. I spent a good twenty or so hours rebuilding most of the roads in the game, simply because it helps other people. It started with the other players, but then I really started getting into the story when you have to transport a major character from one location to another. And by the very end of the game, the final mission had me ugly crying all the way to my destination.

I felt a connection to Sam Strand, someone who doesn't want anything to do with anyone, and by the end of the game, comes to understand what those connections mean. Maybe that was the whole point of the game, I really don't know. I might just be talking out of my ass here. But I highly recommend you check this game out.

This game isn't for everyone, but if you can get into its mechanics and story, you are in for a totally unique gaming experience.

Please don't subject yourself to this boring-ass game.

Hands down one of the best first person shooters of all time. If you are a fan of the genre I highly recommend this game. Even the DLC elevates itself over the original game, and is beyond fun and satisfying.

Rip and tear, until it is done.

Not the best STALKER game, but still a lot of fun.

Whoever designed that final level though needs to face-♥♥♥♥ a landmine though.
