I can't connect to steam. I have u-verse dsl. I tried bypassing the router, but the connection totally dies if I do that. I've made exceptions to my firewalls and ant-virus. Still won't connect. Avast is the antivirus program. I have google chrome as well. When I try to turn on the steam icon on desktop. It says it's updating then it gets a error. Steam.exe (main exception): To run Steam, you must first be connected to the internet. I have moved and restored my computer. I got a hair up my and reinstalled halflife and steam because i miss gaming. I am a long time player and I love you guys. if you can help me I will be in your debt. I dont know what im doing wrong. This Vegeta aka aghettowhiteguy. Tripod I need your help. I moved and updated my computer. I have half life installed and steam installed. Every time I try to run steam I get a error steam.exe main exception, have to be connected to internet. I am... I have u-verse dsl. avast virus. and firewalls up. I tried turning everything off, but it still wont connect. i tried connecting directly from line voiding the router and it still wont connect... wtf man i need a miracle. maybe have to communicate thru third party mesenger. tell me what to do bro...
