CS:GO Review
I have over 1000 hours in the game, I only paid $7.50 for it in the first place and have made way more than my money back from selling items you earn in game. The items are earned by just playing the game, so the more you play it the more you get and the more you can sell them to get your money back. It really isn't for everyone but it normally seems to be a hit or miss deal. The people who like it are active about it and will play it quite often. The people who don't like it normally hate it but that's a pretty general statement so take it as you will. It has a competitive mode as well as a casual mode. The competitive is supposed to be for the people already accustomed to the game and it's basic fundamentals that you then take and apply to a 5v5 situation that has up to 30 rounds [first one to 16 or a 15-15 tie] and can last up to 2 hours long, if you leave the match before it has finished you will be penalized anywhere from 30min to a full seven day cooldown. The casual is just that, casual. It consists of shorter matches, more players, less seriousness and overall just a big fun fest that you can do whatever you like with no worries.

It is a constantly updating game with new operations that are basically map packs, new weapon skins and new weapons. The e-sport community for CSGO is rather large as well with events such as Dreamhack that attract many thousands of people to watch a series of competitive matches between teams playing competitive on LAN until one team arrives victorious, that is generally how most tournaments go but some may be different as well.

Not to mention the community servers that people host where they can create anything they want on the server, whether it be team deathmatch or surfing there will be a server that has just what you're looking for.

[Performance]

The game has been known to have it's performance issues but only with itself as a reference. Meaning that it may still need something such as being less CPU heavy along with some other minor things but overall it runs fantastic. It gives you every option you would expect out of such a classic PC title so there really aren't to many semi-modern systems that can't run this game whether it be a laptop or a Walmart desktop PC that still has OEM Windows on it.

So finally to say, is it worth my money? Yeah, I would undoubtedly say so if you just put a little work into you can easily make your money back and have some good fun doing it. There are lots of people willing to help you and guide you through the adjusting to it since it is different than most other games. It is an active community that has an active professional scene as well as an always active casual scene too. The performance may not be what everyone knows it has the potential to be but that doesn't mean it is bad, it's a smooth gaming experience as a lost toll on your system if configured right.
