It's a decent city builder, extremely similar to Anno if you enjoy that series, and it's dripping in Cthulhu atmosphere.

But unfortunately the game doesn't respect your time at all and causes itself to drag out beyond fun - levels which should take an hour, take multiple. This is due to so many events that cause you as a player to wait longer, and they even stack in duration! +15 minutes until new colonist arrive, -50% productivity for 10 minutes, the list goes on and on. Even when clearing the cause of such debuffs in Mission 2 for example, the debuffs continue to appear.

I think there's a reason less than 1% of players have finished the final mission since achievements existed - the game is very much a lesson in frustration!

If I could give this a neutral I would, and that word sums the game up completely - neutral. It's an OK survival game, decent progression through the tech tree etc - it's just very repetitive, not much difference between locations at all, and while exploration can net you some rarer materials, it's just not that engaging because of the location similarities.
It's not that it's terrible, if it's on sale perhaps pick it up - just don't expect to be enthralled at any point during your playtime.

Star Sector-lite combat and ship design, with a relaxing exploration themed gameplay loop. Don't expect anything too deep but you can tell this was a labour of love.

A great idle game to leave running on your second monitor while working.

A decent visual novel dripping in atmosphere. Great humour and worth hunting all the different endings.

They Are Billions with more polish and a very enjoyable campaign with multiple endings.

Stanley came away from this game feeling very melancholic.

If there was an indifferent score, I'd give it that. Instead, I'm giving this a negative.

The performance is very bad for a game that looks like this. It stutters, and takes far too long to both change map (using your drone) and even to exit the game.

By the end game, I'd mentally checked out of the grind. I completed the story, but it was tedious.

There's good stuff to be had here, but too many headaches to fully enjoy it such as broken bot AI and broken quests.

Amazing DLC. So much to unlock. Their best work yet.
