Great little co op game.

Short and sweet. The music, graphics, lighting, give the game a very particular theme, and it works really well.
The puzzles are generally really interesting and unique, and quite fun to do once you get a hang of it. The way that the cooperative/communicative element is used works well with the puzzles too!

The cons, for the most part, consist of small, unpolished bugs, or minor gameplay inconveniences. This gets better with the sequels though, and there's nothing gamebreaking, it's slightly frustrating at the very worst.

Especially for free, this is a great coop game to try with a friend.

Great game.

As the third game in the We Were Here series, this one is by far the best.

- It's quite a bit longer than the other two, you can't just finish the game in a couple hours or less.

- The puzzles are better than ever. For the previous games, the puzzles ranged from okay to great, but the puzzles in this one are just amazing. Really fun, satisfying, and the co op element is much more used. Especially in the first game, the librarian didn't really do much in terms of actually using the puzzles. It got better in the second game, but in this one, both sides have to think and process information an equal amount. Lots of fresh new ideas were put in as well, that weren't seen before. Only one or two were a bit annoying, but it's completely overshadowed by the great ones. 9/10

- The soundtrack is great, as always.

Very minor story spoilers:

- The story was a weird one. In the previous games, the story played a very small part in the game, being hinted at subtly here and there, but you didn't have to pay attention to play the game. Don't get me wrong, I loved trying to pick apart what of the story was hinted at, but that changed drastically this game. Everything was revealed a lot easier, and the characters' actions (and existences, even) was a lot more open.
Unfortunately, it didn't land really well. It felt quite artificial, and there went from being close to not plot, to trailing off into one specific part of it. It being much more easily revealed and open was actually a downside, as it not only took away from the mystery of the game, but also didn't even do it properly- it didn't answer questions, but instead didn't make much sense, and left us with more questions than answers. It just got confusing and felt like too much; at least in the previous games, we weren't exactly puzzled as to what just happened, as we were simply given close to no information, leaving a mysterious aura surrounding the actual story, seeming unattainable to comprehend (in a good way, making you want more).
I think they went too far, and should've kept it unclear and mysterious, or at the very least, answered obvious questions from before, instead of making things more unnecessarily complicated and confusing. It wasn't all bad though, as some elements were still quite interesting, the way it was all wrapped up was just a bit of a letdown.

A few positive and negative nitpicks:
- The elements during the gameplay where I got to interact with my partner via more than just verbal communications were the most fun. That includes being in the same room, The minecart was extremely fun , or even just being able to see each other, even if separated.
- The levels where my friend and I were naturally separated from each other, because of the nature of the puzzle, instead of being forcefully separated, were very appreciated. Naturally, in a cooperative communication based puzzle game, forced separation has to happen, but the few areas that didn't force you to do that improved the experience a lot and made it seem a lot less artificial.
- There are quite a few (visual, not game breaking) bugs, mostly with clipping issues. This could be fixed easily, and would make the game a bit more polished.

8.5/10
Overall, a massive improvement from the previous games in the series. We Were Here: Together is a much better put together game, with far more interesting areas in terms of graphics, puzzles, and cooperative depth, as well as a longer, and generally more satisfying experience. It was a blast to play, and I hope they make more!
