Completely inaccurate game development simulation. When you attempt to release a game before it's finished, your secretary will tell you that "You can't release an unfinished game" and you're not allowed to ship it.

But hey, at least I can fire all my employees for no good reason, so that's spot on! :)

Jokes aside it's a great game and after a decade still holds a spot in my heart. Plays perfectly on the Steam Deck, has a lot of charm, and scratches a management itch that so few games do. Well worth playing for full price or on sale.

Crumble is the first game I played from beginning to end on my Steam Deck. It was pretty decent, it was a fun little game that I enjoyed that didn't overstay its welcome.

My main complaint overall was that it felt similar to the first Sonic game. By that I mean that the level design can't decide if the game is about going fast or being a slower-paced precision platformer. There was only one level where I felt like it was truly poorly designed, but after that I really enjoyed it overall.

I received this game for free, so for that price you could do a lot worse, but I would have only picked it up on a sale for the amount of content that's there and the few issues I had with it.

I understand this game has its fans and there's nothing wrong with that. I actually played this before I played The Forest. If I had never played The Forest though, I probably would have shrugged and said this was just a meh survival game. Once I played The Forest, however, I realized just how much worse this game is in comparison.

The best way I can describe this game is like driving a car that breaks down every five minutes. You're constantly wondering when you're going to have to stop to fix something, and by the time you reach your destination you're just glad it's over.

- Game runs poorly even on high end rigs
- Crafting is a chore and finding even a simple rock is a tedious game of hide and seek
- Story is subjective but having the main character talk through everything was boring compared to finding clues and discovering the story out for yourself in The Forest
- The extra "survival mechanics" offered here are more like constant annoyances that you have to check and fix every time you do literally anything. You have to pull leeches off your body, treat fire ant bites, and treat scrapes every time you do so much as walk for two minutes
- The sheer amount of injuries your character sustains from the simplest actions is absurd. This guy is so ridiculously fragile that he could stub his toe and be hospitalized for weeks. How this guy survived every day life up to this point is nothing short of a miracle
- The nutrition macro system seems complex to encourage a more robust diet and change the gameplay to suit the needs of your character, but as others have mentioned it's easy to figure out the recipes that trivialize this mechanic
- Sanity is another mechanic that again, only serves as another annoyance that you have to babysit
- Lastly, price. I spent $15 on this game, played for 7 hours, and will never touch it again. I spent $5 for The Forest, played for 25 hours, and I'll eventually buy and play the sequel too. Take that as you will.

Overall if you enjoy Green Hell, hey, more power to you. As for me, I don't recommend this to anyone who played The Forest, and I don't recommend this game over The Forest.

☑ Co-op (even for the campaign)
☑ Split screen
☑ Controller support
☑ Steam workshop support

They really don't make 'em like they used to.
