My social anxiety took a vacation when I played this.

Now - that's all I have to say besides - and I really mean this - moo.

Would purr again.

Thoughts so far:
* 6h into the game and the quest for pants that a gunslinger can wear continues.
* If you live in Sweden you are gonna love the opening experience. It is filled with swedes favorite pass-time, standing in a queue. In fact, I'm writing this while standing in a queue right now!
* There are NPCs with names like Lord Serious and Priest Armen, lol.
* 16h into the game: Still looking for pants to wear.
* I wish I could fish near water instead of at fishing spots.
* 23h later. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND PANTS!
* I guess the point of the game is to find better looking pants now?

I'm on my fifth teen now and every run have been the creation of a memorable experience. Which keeps me coming back for more. Three managed to escape. One got arrested. And well, one died!

Update:
I just finished the game and will probably think about my experience for years to come. In a way I want to jump back in with new game+. But at the same time, what if it washes out what feels like my very unique experience? I highly recommend this game for anyone that want a choice matter game that you don't have to finish in one sitting.

In my first adventure Brey Miredew died during the final battle. But the story we made along the way was wonderful. The goofball Helena heard a whisper in the forest. A voice spoke to her and that day she... Turned into a bird hybrid. Everyone was pretty chill about it. It was almost as if the game knew I like birbs.

There are a lot of interesting things in this visual novel. For example they use todays technology so you are able to talk with each character instead of type. And there are some randomization that make choices unique compare to other more kinect like visual novels. And to be fair, in the visual novel genre it has gotten pretty boring to pick one out of three options that just lead to the same thing.

That said, the characters and story is fairly lacking in Phasmophobia. You start by picking your own name and avatar. (it does not effect the story in any meaningful way.) And then you start in a fairly empty garage and apparently you are looking for a date. There are no backstory to this, so you are left to guess if you have dated everyone in the world except for the dead.
Anyway, then you start by picking a location for a date and what you want to bring. At low charisma level you basically only pick the tutorial and a small house. But then move to stuff like school, even a prison! Anyway, after you pick your blind date, your friend drives you to the location and this is when your first mini-game starts.
You have to find your date, but it is dark and sometimes your dead date don't reply or is shy. Some are even violent. And can get mad if you are late to the date. And for some reason the creator has hardwired you being late as something that happen during every date.
Anyway, during the date a new mini-game starts. In which you have to find objects they like to impress them. Objects and sometimes just topics to talk about. If everything goes well you get to go on a new date and earn some money to use during that date. But it never goes anywhere. It just feels like you repeat the same date over and over again. So as a dating simulator this game lacks a lot. But there is a lot of potential for the future. So I'm looking forward to seeing it evolve into the great visual Phasmophobia one day can become.

This is a great game for when you keep scrolling your game feed having no idea what to play. Just boot up this and watch the hour pass.
