If you want to play a souls-like, then look elsewhere. This is an Armored Core game. If you're a fan of Armored Core 1-4A, then this is the game you've probably already got in your cart; and there's no reason for me to convince you. If you're new to the franchise and worried about the people saying this game is too hard: This is by far the most accessible game in the franchise, great for newcomers, a fresh story, and quality of life improvements that make this genuinely a thrill to play.

Yes, the end boss of Chapter 1 will take at least a couple tries, as this is the point in the game where it's trying to tell you that you're going to have to utilize assembling the right AC for the right job. People out here complaining their beginner pulse sword and rifle won't work? Dude, I went dual miniguns with dual vertical missiles, and it was done. That might not be YOUR playstyle, but experimenting with new builds is what this franchise has always been about.

With a decently long campaign that doesn't overstay it's welcome, multiple endings, and new branching options on NG+, and ZERO MICROTRANSACTIONS; Armored Core VI is worth every penny you'll spend if you're looking for a fun action game with sleek mecha designs.

The only multiplayer is PVP, so keep that in mind as well if you're looking for anything in that department. But I would suggest not to worry, that Armored Core has always had the habit of releasing expansion/sequel games for every generation so far as there are literally 15 titles before this. With the response being so positive with this new one, co-op in the next title is only a matter of time now.
