WE DIVE TOGETHER OR NOT AT ALL!

While for the most part fun, the constant crashing, the millions of bugs and the fact it is based on pure luck if you can connect to other players make it so I can't recommend this game until it is fixed in hopefully a couple of months. The game is too broken to buy. Stay away for now!

More details:
Half the time when I boot up the game it is pure luck if I can connect to other players or not. There exist no way to fix it as it is right now. the only thing you can do when this happens to you is turn the game off and wait 2-3 hours and hope it is somehow fixed, which it probably won't be.

The crashing in this game is so frequent that I have a hard time remembering completing an entire mission without someone experiencing a crash. There are fixes to make the crashes happen only once per mission instead of five times per mission, but that is all you can do about it.

There are so many game breaking bugs. I have had many times where I spawn underground and have to commit suicide to get out of it. I have had times the gun I am holding disappears and you have to switch guns over and over for about a minute for it to fix itself. If you dive or fall in the wrong area you are likely to get stuck in terrain and have to either wait for enemies to kill you or commit suicide. There is also a bug where whenever you are holding either the ballistic shield or the sssd and then pick something up then you'll get stuck in an A-pose which causes your shooting to be messed up and grenade throwing becomes near impossible.

The game is a lot of fun when it works, but the game is so buggy. Unfortunately it isn't small bugs that you can brush off. Most of the time the bugs will cause the game to be unplayable, sometimes for hours. Do not buy this game for a few more months. Check back in May perhaps.

UPDATE:
May turned out to not be the month that fixed Helldivers 2. Try again in June.

UPDATE 2: I don't have high hopes for this game. Just stay away

Saw something interesting on tv once years ago. People were given candy in the shape of strawberries and the color of a strawberry, however it tasted like liquorice. It did not matter if they liked liquorice, they would spit the candy out anyway because it went so far against what they expected. I had a similar experiance when playing the first few minutes of this game.

After having seen the pictures provided on the store page I was mistakenly under the impression that this was a FTL-like game. Turns out this is more of a calm artsy game and so, just like the people in that tv show when they bit the liquorice, I disliked this game at first.

But then I continued playing to give it more of a fair chance and found myself enjoying the game. It has beautiful art and music. The controls are a bit to get used to, but otherwise not bad. It has some pretty easy, but still nice puzzles to solve and driving the vehicle was pretty fun and even relaxing when you got to use the sail and I was having a good time.

Now despite this game being good I would not say it is a must buy. For one thing the ending was a bit lacking. I could see what they were going for, but mechanically it did not feel as impactful as the game tried to make it. Slight spoiler here about the ending but I feel it must be said that when a game wants to make you feel hopeless it has to also feel like despite what you would try in the game the challange you are facing now is far beyond what you can handle.

And as a second point in this game I always felt a bit disconnected with certain parts. You have for example factories that are completely destroyed. I am not sure if I am supposed to be sad that they are now ruins as I have no connection to any of it.

So while I enjoyed it and this is a good game you will probably never hear "Dude, you should play FAR: Lone Sails" escape my lips.

A while back friends of mine asked me to stream a horror game for them. One of them told me about this game that inspired the hit horror game that made the today biggest youtuber popular in the first place. Those words sold me on this game so he gave me a copy to play.

This game unfortunatelly is a big dissapointment. In the original game you are a student that is chased by blood thristy janitors. Their ai are nothing too impressive and can with patiance easily be sneaked around. This however was something the original game fixed. By having a ghost that follows you around from time to time and will alert the janitor of your current position if you are to touch it. The janitor would come running in your direction and now just hiding from the janitor is no longer an option. Brilliant! However this remake changed that ghost so it also makes a jumpscare when it touches you. That is just dumb.

The original game had scares that was cleverly implimented into the game. This remake on the other hand ruins all those scares. In an effort to make this game more cinematic we now have cutscenes everywhere. The protagonist was originally a blank slate and you rarely saw him as this is a first person game, but in this remake you see the reaction of your protagonist all the time in the cutscenes. Something scary happens? QUICK SHOW THE PROTAGONIST BEING SCARED!

You may not yet get what the problem is, but let me give you an example. At one point in the original you would go into a room. Not much special about this room when *bam* you lose control of the camera for a second and out of a door comes a giant baby screaming at you! It surprises you and you get startled and even a bit scared, however in this remake that is all a cutscene which basically means: "Oh, nice! A moment to get a sip of my drinkable liquid!" The shock of the giant baby is basically nonexistent. And that happens for basically all the original scares. They are replaced by "cinematic" cutscenes. -_-

This remake also ads alot of new ghosts to the game which sounds brilliant until you realize they're all just jumpscares and not some new interesting mechanic or obstacle.

I was quickly done with this game and would not have finnished it if my friends hadn't told me to. I did not care that I got the worst ending which they also screwed up. Instead of a grim "You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and you and everyone you love will die" they dumbed it down to "Look at the pretty lights! :D"

Do not buy this game
