It's so good.

I've been playing Armored Core since the very beginning, and this one's my favorite in the whole 20-ish game series. It's also the perfect game to introduce yourself to the franchise. The single-player campaign is absolute peak, the animation is absolute peak, the mechanical design is absolute peak... it's peak. The multiplayer is kinda secondary - and I suck at it - but it's such a blast, and the skill ceiling is sky-high. Build-crafting (for single or multi-player) is at least half the fun, and finding something that works just the way you want is so rewarding. My only complaint is that I want more!

From Software has made many of the best games ever to exist, and I happen to think this is some of their very best work, if not quite the most ambitious.
