Right now, I'm dipping my toes into a few things I've been meaning to play, and seeing what sticks. I have started playing through the Halo Master Chief collection , but I've moved that to the Xbox because of local split-screen co-op :). So for now... I sit down to play Spider-Man Remastered occasionally (loving it), and finally reached perfection in Stardew Valley (Expanded, nonetheless!)!! Woohoo! okay so maybe i started another farm hehe

There are some series I've been wanting to dive into, namely Assassin's Creed, Monster Hunter, the Crysis trilogy, and Far Cry, but those are some time sinks as well. Because of the time commitment, I have recently been playing a few smaller games, aiming to "complete" something shorter rather than being a chronic starter... lol. Terracards is kinda fun! Cauldron is also a blast 😍

My current "play next" list—which is really me trying to pick some things out of my *ahem* backlog that I've been feeling a real desire to play recently—is immediately below (the "game collector" showcase).

But really! I'm just a dude. A dude who likes games.

Did I ever say I was the most fiscally responsible dude ever? No, because that is unfortunately a lie. Do I regret most of my Steam library? No— that is fortunately a lie.

I'm a big sale guy, so if you check my profile on SteamDB [steamdb.info], the big number is much closer to the small number in reality (phew). I'd say don't judge me, but I've decided not to be ashamed. But maybe still don't judge me :).

I'm a weird one. I love playing games, but a lot of my enjoyment comes out of trying something for the first time. You'll notice that almost all of the games I've played, I've done so for only a couple, maybe a dozen hours. I like trying new games! And games of all sorts—cutesy 90-minute story games , dark fantasy dystopian first person shooters , cozy life simulators , racing games (leaning towards arcade versus sim: ), and so much more. My taste is... eclectic.

There are a rare few exceptions where I play for many hours, but my "many" is probably different than yours. Stardew, above, is my most played game: call me a fake gamer if you so choose, but I am perfectly satisfied with my time played even if it's a fifth of what you have in Rocket League.

You'll also notice that I am not an online junkie. I straight up stink at every game I play, but I am perfectly fine with that. That doesn't lend itself well to online, competitive, sweaty gamer-filled lobbies where I am nigh guaranteed to be the worst player and bring my team down with me. I have fun being bad, but it does knock my friends down a tier or four if I'm playing with them ;)

Plus, I enjoy going at things the way I want to, offline, whenever I have time, and without the pressure of doing so at someone else's pace—which is often far faster than that at which I would go. I will unashamedly play on the "easy" difficulty, too! I love exploring, making my own decisions, side-questing out the wazoo, stealthily tiptoeing around a combat encounter as to avoid getting rekt, and absolutely demolishing enemies because I'm overprepared and they have 50% of their max health because of the difficulty setting

I'm not into games to struggle, to get scared, or to beat someone else at something. I like having simple, easy, relaxed fun, and exploring new worlds, stories, characters, and mechanics. Boring to you, sure, but the best part for me.
