This game is very research heavy, which is normal for an incredibly in-depth dungeon crawler RPG. It's brutal, and you need to know what you're doing. But after you get through the tutorial (all 10 acts), the game opens up, and you start to understand the things people are talking about. After 300 hours, I'm just now getting into mapping, and the endgame.

Trading is actually super fun, although you need to go through a website (poe.trade), it's actually pretty social, and you use crafting currency to exchange goods and powerful, build-dependent items.

A big feature for me is the hideouts though. You have a lot of power when it comes to building an incredible home for yourself. Check out poe.house for people's crazy and amazing creations.

You can certainly express yourself, and be exactly what you'd like to be. There's something for everyone. Just be warned once again: prepare to do some research to succeed throughout the last few acts and the beginning of endgame.

This is probably my favorite game of all time, simply because I can always be doing something. Path of Exile is set apart for having a deep endgame through numerous different systems. They keep adding and evolving to this game, which makes me want to play for every new league start, and keep on coming back every day.

Oh, and it's free (sorta). Premium tabs are required to list your items on poe.trade, but it's worth it.

Bottom line: it's f***ing worth it.

Surprise Side-Scrolling 1930s Dark Souls

This game is good...it makes me want sushi.

The best Dark Souls yet =) may be a bit too easy though, feels more forgiving than not. Super fun melee and ranged combat, although melee has always shined in any Souls-type game. Hyper-fluid gameplay you control! One wrong move can mean your demise, and hopeful reclaim of the souls you lost. Bosses are complex in design and take a little time to master. Patience is the key to victory.

Wow...it's good. But you'll need vast amounts of patience to down bosses. There's a great big world of secrets to explore, but you'll always end up getting your teeth kicked in by the nameless, brutal bosses. Rewarding? You bet. Worth it? Definitely. Worth every penny. The combat is amazing with evironmental traps and dozens of baddies being hurled at you as the terrain changes.
