Played this game growing up (2011-2015) and back then everything had been somewhat balanced.
However, after coming back with an adult mind I see just how mindless and disappointing this game has become.

The port over to steam is so poor to the point that I don't even see why they did it. It's almost like a browser that's been stuffed into an .exe file. I booted in and had to figure out all the controls for myself. Had to literally get a script from discord to make my controller work with the game. Also, who on god's earth made the trailer? I think I've made better edited videos for elementary school projects.

Limited guns are far too overpowered and are gatekept by no-life individuals who've accumulated currency over the last ten or so years. You legitimately cannot access these high-tier weapons anymore (without spending an obscene amount of money on the game at least). These weapons, when put against new or even returning players are just foul and I don't even know why they exist. Hell, put against a regular player they aren't fair. Don't even get me started with PK in general, so many VPN users trying to get high ping as all combat is client-side, putting an enemy with low ping at a disadvantage.

The only way to get money on this game without simply buying it is by dedicating a full day of your time and risking carpal tunnel just for about 15,000 graalats OR you could simply buy a pack of 27,500 for $10 USD. Wonder what most will pick.

Also well done on adding battle royale! Shame everything you add just gets swept under the rug because you provide zero incentive for players to play these modes. Maybe add graalat rewards? No, that's too much thinking for the developers. They instead added a battle royale pass. I'm not joking. Why would I pay for a pass to access rewards to something I'm already dedicating my time to when there's other things I can get graalats for, for free? Walked in the BR building. 0 players queued. Doesn't help that they haven't updated it in THREE YEARS either.

This game has so much potential to be something bigger. If they upgrade the engine, modernised animations, skins or even do a map wipe to spice things up I'm sure many players would return. However the owner seems to be happy with his dying 1000 player base and child-labour admins and call it a day. It's just insane how the game is almost exactly the same as it was over a decade ago.

Let this review be a warning to any new or returning players: Just don't bother.

Bought this game close to its release, but I didn't play as much as I felt like I didn't know enough about maximising profits each season to play, so it felt a bit daunting to me.

Can I just say that that is not what this game is.

After reinstalling and watching videos I can say that Stardew Valley is a beautifully crafted farming game made for all types of play-styles. Just getting back into it now and burning hours and hours into growing crops, fishing, mining, developing animal farms and exploring a ton of content on parts of the game I didn't even know existed.

If you're a lover of meaningful games where you can interact with other characters whilst also growing an empire I would suggest getting this game, even if it's not your regular genre.

As someone who's had this game since rebirth came out I can say without a doubt that this is one of the most amazing, well-developed DLCs that have been added to any of the games in my library and I don't regret a single cent buying it.

The newly added content and true endings just wrap this series tremendously. Literally sent shivers down my spine as years of development had been so creatively concluded.

I'm seeing a lot of people having issues with the nerfing/buffing of assorted items and just mass-negative reviewing it as they bandwagon off other popular reviews, but all I can say is to just suck it up. This game wasn't made to hold your hand, and that's what makes it so rewarding when you beat it. Literally just play the game and get better before whining. Hell, this DLC is literally called 'repentance' because you're going to ask for forgiveness while you play it.

This game is fantastic, and after 500 hours all I have left to work on is: communication, aim, map awareness, crosshair placement, economy management, pistol aim, game sense, AWP flicks, grenade spots, smoke spots, pop flashes, positioning, bomb plant positions, retake ability, spray control, toxicity, anger management, positive attitude, post plant time management, general awareness and getting kills
