Kentucky Route Zero aspires to be, if nothing else, esoteric. The plot follows an aging truck driver moving to deliver a package to an elusive street named Dogwood Drive; a journey peppered with unlikely travelling companions and quizzically absurd happenings - presented with qualities akin to that of a bizarre dream that you only begin to question upon waking up.

Kentucky Route Zero is certainly not for everyone. It is slow, wordy and deliberate - sharing more in common with art-house cinema than a typical video game. Those coming in search of thrills will likely do well to look elsewhere; but those looking for a romp that is mysterious, understated and charmingly quaint could do worse than taking a ride on the Zero.

Side note: At time of writing, this game is incomplete - the final act is currently in production and will be released in an update for free.
