Storage Hunter Sim is exactly that; bid on storage crates and units, participate in blind auctions, and sell these items at the several pawn shops scattered throughout the map. Along with the aforementioned activities, one can also upgrade their scanning and fixing tools. Without having these upgrades, one will have to get said items appraised at the multiple appraisals spread across the map. These consist of six different item categories that can be appraised, while items cannot be fixed without upgrading the tool. While on paper this may sound boring, it is executed quite well and is a fun gameplay loop. However, there are several glaring problems with the game. The biggest problem is the fact that when one places items in to the back of your truck, the items will bounce around and cause massive performance dips, even if one has a beefy pc. Other problems with items include items getting stuck under other items, in the ground, or getting stuck under the wooden pallets in the blind auction warehouse; all of which can cause one to lose those items. Also, when going into the late game, there is much less to do and no incentives to continue playing since the finish line came up to quickly. Furthermore, the car is not the best to control and is either not responsive enough, or is way to responsive and not always the easiest to control. Overall, I did very much enjoy playing SHS for the tens of hours that I did, and would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys these type of "simulator" games. Thus, SHS gets a score of 7/10 and is a game I really hope gets continuous updates. If so, this could be a really good sim with a lot of room for growth.

I grew up playing FATE as a kid, and have spent hundreds of hours in it, which makes this a very puzzling remaster for me. However, there are a few major flaws with this remaster that prior players will scratch their head over, or just straight up be pissed about. Firstly, the item bar has been cut in half, which is a big no from me, and one of the most immediate unneeded changes made out of a few other changes implemented into this remaster. Secondly, the spells are still technically linked with the F1 - F6 keys, but not up to F12 like the original. It also is put into a menu wheel instead. Which, again, is a change that was not needed, with the original design being perfectly serviceable. Thirdly, I do not know if this was intentional or not, but you cannot swap out items. Let me explain: you have an item you grabbed with the cursor and want to swap some of your equipment, easy right? It swaps the items out and the other item is now selected and held by your cursor, and that would be correct, in the original FATE, but not here. In this remaster, you cannot swap an items location without first grabbing the item, moving it to the inventory or in an open space within the inventory, and then grab the item you want to move into the equipment slot or an empty space within you or your pets inventory into the now empty equipment slot. What in the hell were they thinking? Of all the changes, this is one irks me the most to no end. It adds very tedious steps when it should be extremely simple to execute. Grab item, swap item, place into inventory or swap spaces with an item to replace said item within ones inventory. Just, why? Fourthly, none of the pet mechanics work, like selling items directly from their inventory. Fifthly, the fishing mini-game is even worse than before. I thought the wait time between each bite was long in the original, but it got even worse here. You can fail it much more frequently, even if you reel it in the nanosecond you are able to, and the wait between each bite can vary drastically, taking upwards of ten minutes at times before having another chance. Lastly, the awesome portal room could have been the ground work of this remaster that was introduced in FATE: The Traitors Soul, but for whatever reason, it was not. If one does not know what I am referring to, let me explain. In the third game, there was a portal room that allowed you to go to the town of Grove (the first game) Typhon and Druantia (the second games towns and dungeons) and the new content from Traitors Soul being The Chamber of Trials along with the final dungeon after beating the bosses in the second games two dungeons. While I appreciate the first two games having been remaster and kept somewhat in-tacked, it does make one wonder why this was not the launching point of the remaster. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was set up and right there for this new development team to jump start off of, but it was not the direction the chose to go in. All they had to do was make this the starting point for ones journey and add another portal to the fourth games town and dungeon, or, unlock the portal room after completing the original town of Groves dungeon and scale up the enemy levels thereafter. This, to me, is the most baffling part of this remaster that was severely overlooked. If anyone play-tested this game during its development had actually played the original FATE saga, this would have been the first thing to come to mind. It was what came to my mind, at least, and I am sure I am not the only one to have thought of this as being a major oversight. If this had been the case, the original two games would be there while also linking together the last two games, all into one cohesive package for one to pick up and fully experience the world of FATE. If you have a kid and need a kid friendly game that introduces them into the ARPG-dungeon crawling genre, this is highly recommended, but if you played this as a kid and are coming back to this remaster, and already own the original saga separately on steam, then this is a no-go. Yes, the game looks good, the UI is more streamlined and with less menus to click open, and most of the rest of the game from gameplay mechanics, voice-acting, and ambient sounds / sound effects are all still there in their original form. But these other changes along with the massive oversight in making this a more cohesive package from the start make this version of FATE extremely hard to recommend, besides maybe being slightly cheaper when this goes on-sale in the future. Otherwise, as much as it pains me to say, I cannot recommend this version of FATE unless you are absolutely new to this IP and have not played, or do not own, the original saga. Thus, FATE Reawakened gets a 4/10 from me, and is something I would not pick up unless it is on a steep sale, or if one has nostalgia for the originals and wants to see it in a somewhat new coat of paint, albeit a flawed one.
