You spat in the face of everyone who tried to make your platform good. VRChat was NEVER good because of the VRChat devs, it was good because the users were empowered. EAC not only strips half the power we have as YOUR content creators, it insults the very core of what an open social platform is.

You never gave us anything, and we loved you for it. Now you've taken away our work, except you haven't. Your "tools" have just empowered your FORMER users even more, and all our skills are going to be put to creativity that you will never benefit from ever again.

While I was very upset that I somewhat soft-locked my game when I got captured by slavers and couldn't find my stuff, really I've been loving how Outward feels to play. For the most part it punishes carelessness and rewards being prepared. There's A LOT to learn in this game, and I'm unashamed to say I pulled up the wiki to help me get direction and clues.

"Huh, this game might be fun. $15 is pretty cheap, and I could use something new. I'll give it a try" 6 hours later, I realized I was hooked. Sank in so many runs, doing so many fun things, and eventually almost doubling my high score without shooting a bullet. Nova drift is a ton of fun, and can't wait for new things to try. Slowing down a little so I don't burn out, but it's definitely staying on my drive just in case I ever get that itch to play some more

When this game first entered early access, someone in my friend group bought it for me. We played a bit, it was alright, but I lost interest. We tried to get into it once or twice after that, even at launch, and it never really got me.

Fast forward to last week. I finally decide to give it with a new friend group after having written it off forever ago. I don't know if the game got better or my friends got better, but uh... I sank way more time than I realized I did. Even am having fun playing solo now.

Holy ****... give me a moment to collect myself and explain how I got here. This is more of a story of my emotional state than critical review of the game, but it needs to be said.

I bought Risk of Rain 2 when Early Access first started. I Played dozens (not hundreds) of hours of Risk of Rain 1, and the jump to 3D was something I was initially skeptical about when I saw the first early prototype footage. Day 1 they nailed it. The music, the enemies, the combat, it all felt just as good as RoR1, if not better. Bugs were minimal and I was thrilled with the game I got.

Each patch added so much. Hoppo Games were on top of communicating their goals with their roadmap as well as upping the ante every few months. This 1.0 release is a freaking capstone to this journey as they've been making Risk of Rain 2.

I was awestruck when I first entered Sky Meadows last content patch. The scenery was epic, and the music made it even better. The final patch more than doubled the level of awe. I entered the final stage, and everything made my jaw drop. The map and music all perfectly captured the sense of finality Risk of Rain has been building up since I bought my copy in early access. The unknown and powerful threats

And then I enter the boss arena, the last enemy I am meant to be challenged by. It took a few minutes to make it here from the start of the level, and I get launched gracefully to see him. I don't want to go in more detail because I want to leave the sense of shock of the fight itself for those who want to discover it themselves, but I am a fairly reserved gamer and I shouted out in a mix of shock and joy as he pounded me into a pulp. He was unlike anything else in the game, and that made his fight all the more powerful a crescendo to a game working on its climax for over a year.

I've beaten Risk of Rain. I can't stop thinking of the moments along the way, crowned by the final level and final boss. Hoppo games have done a fantastic job. Thank you.

EYE Divine Cybermancy is clunky, bizzare, and has plenty of weird design features, but it is almost always installed on my HDD for those times I want to go back to it. It really feels like it was ahead of its time, coming out almost a decade ago with RPG mechanics, a variety of gameplay styles and tools such as hacking, psionics, stealth, and cybernetics, and a weapon variety that supports those approaches. It plays like a non-Valve source game, which is to say there are all sorts of janky bits here and there, but the game itself is actually a lot of fun. Hacking and possessing looters to shoot their friends, timing melee strikes to obliterate charging monsters, facing down giants with an oversized revolver, or crying in a corner because you're pinned by a helicopter with 2 miniguns and you ran out of respawns. It's all so much fun and I really wish EYE could get a facelift

I was getting nostalgic with a friend and mentioned the killing floor server I still play on... then realized that server is 11 years old and still going. Might as well use that as an excuse to leave a review since Killing Floor has earned it.

First impressions from Early access: Powder physics dungeon crawl with magic customization. That's exactly what I wanted when I got the game, and it did not disappoint.

Even in early access, there is a lot to it and that makes me very hopeful for future versions. There are plenty of secrets to explore, and I feel like I should constantly be roaming the map looking for new things I haven't explored. The magic system is a little confusing at first, but robust enough there are lots of fun combinations of spells I am excited to try. I just have the misfortune of not always making it far enough to get the resources or RNG to really experiment.

The game is somewhat lethal, with enemy aim uncanny at times. I am not sure if their ability to arc and lead shots is intended to be so good, but it has made certain areas with very little terrain to hide behind very deadly. By design or not, it makes the biomes terrain a part of the difficulty increase outside the changed health and damage of the enemies.

All in all, I am really enjoying Noita. Despite dieing on what I thought were great runs multiple times, I have never felt the game to be unreasonable, and the entire experience, from setting pools of oil on fire to find a chest hidden underneath, to exploring the levels to find hearts wands and potions, and even the echoing sound of my own death as I get domed by a perfect shot are all very satisfying.

ise to Ruin has earned a stronger place in my heart and my steam library than I expected when I picked it up. While it's not perfect, there is a charm and love in the game that makes me want to keep it installed and play a bit every update.

The music and pace of the game play can be very relaxing. While it can be very challenging to try and get the village up and running with the pressure of monsters trying to ruin all your hard work, the game itself has a very strong ant-farm feel. The villagers just do their things with little to no intervention from you; assign jobs and build or harvest orders, watch them scurry around to take care of the village. It can almost be therapeutic to just zoom out and watch them move about while listening to the music.
It is a god game, so there is a bit of messing around. Between god powers, sandbox mode, and custom difficulties, I have enjoyed a fair amount of just screwing off and either toying with my villagers or breaking the game engine by testing special tower and maze arrangements then spawning more mobs than my computer could handle.

Admittedly, this game will not have a universal appeal. As of right now, there isn't any designated objective or overarching goal involving the world map. The players will have to decide what they are in for: take over a map and safely grow a village as large as they can, fight off hordes of enemies in harder difficulties, or try and populate all parts of the world map with sustainable villages. If you don't think you can sorta make your own goals through things like this or the custom difficulty options, you may want to watch and wait. Content is constantly being worked on, so there may be something that appeals more to you later on.

For those of you wary of Early Access, there is something to be said about the developer; while this is by no means unique, Rayvolution is very active with the community and passionate about the game. I've been on the Rise to Ruin Discord server (you can find a link in the main menu of the game) and have enjoyed conversation with him and other players immensely. I have faith that Rayvolution will see the game continue to grow in quality and content, and not leave RtR in Early Access hell. If you are interested in the game, but don't want to buy it, I'd highly recommend you chat with him and the other fans there.
