Secret Files had huge potential to be good, but as it is today, I would not recommend buying it, or at least wait for a significant discount. The storytelling is good; the gameplay, not so much. I would start recommending it if the developers returned to this game because the concept allows for the addition of all kinds of content. However, it would be nice to cut the mini-games and focus on storytelling and animations.

It has some predictable 'jump scares,' and the runaway section was a little too much like Poppy's first chapter, but none of that makes the game bad.

SCP - Containment Breach is one of my favorite games for sure, and if you want to play it solo, I'd highly recommend this game. It is basically the same game ported to Steam with added multiplayer and a few other things.

The multiplayer is nice but quite bad. If you're trying to play it with friends, expect glitches like clipping through walls, crashing, or timing out. You can't rejoin a game or load a save state in multiplayer, so it's kind of done for once someone crashes.

All the other 'game modes' you can join and play with randoms are not it. You are better off playing Garry's Mod (SCP-RP).

Everything this game adds is subpar. Still recommend it.
