The Review-Ratio definitley doesnt tell the whole story here.

Since my Review ended up pretty long, because this game managed to frustrate me again while writing, and most people nowdays have ADHD, ill put my conclusion right here:

The Game is overall mid at best, which is why i cant recommend it. Especially not for 30 Bucks.
Its overall a great concept and a solid platformer. But thats it, a Concept.
I wouldnt even wait for a sale, i would hope for Ghostrunner 2 just being a better game.
If you are a diehard fan of the cyberpunk genre, and like fast pace games however - i would still recommend other games in the first place - but feel free to buy when its on sale. Its simply not worth full price.

For anyone wondering specifically why, here is a somewhat sophisticated review.

It took me under 8 Hours to play through the whole main story once, even with retrying most of the levels to improve, or to get most of the collectibles. 8 Hours, for 30 Bucks. Looking back at most other games on my Account, this has to be one of the worst "Hours of Fun/Dollar-ratios" i have ever had, without even considering that most of this game was not "fun" per se, but trial and error in an repetitive leveldesign or just me being stupid in one of the many puzzles.

While i do like the flow of the combat in this game, even tho it has its own massive flaws, the game is way to centered around the platforming aspect imo. You will often find yourselves sliding, jumping, and wallruning through gaint complexes for what feels like hours on end, not because its long, but because its extremely bland.
The most variation you will have in it however are the differences in the level design. While they are very distinguishable from each other, i was mostly annoyed by them making it sometimes much harder to see where you had to go, or by the level geometry interrupting my movement.
The movement overall feels very solid tho. But in the end most of it felt like an intermission between the next combat encounter, which i was just not a fan of.

The combat was actually fun, but raised so many questions for me.
Why do you have 4 different combat abilities...
...When you literally dont need them ever, except in the tutorial?
...When the levels rarely encourage you to use any of those?
...When there are so few amounts of enemies anyway?
The best moments of this game where the moments, when you enter a room filled with enemies, and you can choose how to handle the situation by yourself, often having to find an optimal way moving through it. As you might have already guessed however, these moments are rare. You will find yourself clearing a room full of enemies after 6 retrys like a total cyber-ninja-badass of doom, just to do a platforming puzzle with 36 retrys for the next hour. It sucks, and it makes me mad, that so much potential was just wasted. (which is overall why i write this Essay about it)
There are also some technical flaws coming along with it.
- Unforgiving hitboxes
- RNG Enemys (They wont hit a single shot, ore 360 1Tap you out of existance; Random movement patterns for teleporting enemys; ... )
- Enemies specifically designed to piss you off (I am looking at you, exploding spiderbot)
Plus some minor ones, often coming along with some movement problems.

The bossfights are not to bad, but also not very good or interesting.
The fight against Hel was pretty epic, defenitley one of my alltime favoruite Sword duel bossfights, but the one against Mara is mid at best, and the one in the elevator can go ♥♥♥♥ itself.
(like seriously why the ♥♥♥♥ did they have to make it so bad. how can anyone playtest this and think "hell yeah i love trial an erroring 90 times plus having to cheese the movement on walls to make it somewhat doable, because i am completely unable to see the laser and energy waves coming in time to react perfectly 100 times in a row without being able to save any progress between phases. HEEELL YEAHHHH" im ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed. its the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ first bossfight in the Game and its the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hardest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ part of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.)

Im am so pissed in fact, that i will play Ghostrunner 2 now and will be even more critical, considering how many users pointed out what flaws this game has.
