The 5 year wait was more than worth it. I'm thrilled at how well this has turned out. Granted, as expected with any game this large on startup, it's a bit buggy... give it a month or so and a patch will fix all of that just like Skyrim. Currently, I'm going to give it an 8/10. Knocking one point off for the difficulty getting it to run and one for the large amount of bugs. Definitely a must play though.

Update 11/25/23:
So after all of the updates, bug fixes, and modding; this is easily one of the best BGS games ever made. There are definitely issues, but there's great things too.

Pros:
*Great graphics
*Interesting Story
*Best gun play in a BGS game (up to the point of release)
* Expansive systems with a natural flowing ecosystem
*Very repayable
*Bugs mostly gone after updates (and the mandatory fan-made bug fix mod)

Cons:
* No morality system
* Perks/attributes system re-worked in a new way that I'm not a fan of
* Game can still have game-breaking bugs without the necessary mods
*SAVE FILE CORRUPTED is still extremely likely once you get over the 100hr mark on a play though

I will say though, that if you're able to go through and handle your mods, this game has nearly unlimited playablitly and I very highly recommend giving it a try.

Overall, I would give Fallout 4 a 9.2/10.

So here's my review with 6 hours in on 12/10/2020: The game so far seems to be brilliant, even if there are some issues here and there. I've noticed some minor things like parking my car and eventually its not sitting level anymore. The default sensitivity for the controller is all over the place, but not that hard to fix. The vehicles in this game drive like they do in FarCry. Outside of those simple complaints, I'm absolutely in love with this game. The story seems to be incredibly well thought out. The action is entertaining and decently paced. There is just so much to do around Night City, that when you first start out, it's a bit overwhelming trying to figure everything out. So far, I would call this a solid 9/10, but whenever I've had an opportunity to get further in the game, I'll be back with an update.

Update 11/25/23:
So, with the introduction of 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, we're finally here! While there are still a handful of promised things that never made it into the game like wall running or a transit system, the missing details are either not a deal breaker for me or were eventually implemented by modders. Cyberpunk 2077 is NOW the game that you wanted back whenever you saw that first trailer years ago. The game is nearly bug free, the story is phenomenal (after having the weird lack of lifepath dialogue fixed in 2.0), the soundtrack is a solid 10/10, graphics are beautiful, and just so much more. This is now the game that we expected of CDPR, and I honestly and truly hope that they've learned their lesson. As of now, I'm giving Cypberpunk 2077 my rare 10/10.
