Spent over 90 hours on the original Frostpunk (playing casually on medium), and Frostpunk 2 feels like a completely different kind of survival experience while keeping the same gripping narrative.

The gameplay is far more complex and challenging this time around. In just my first four hours, I’ve already restarted a few times. The mechanics are deeper and demand more strategic planning than the first game, making it a refreshing but tougher experience.

The graphics are a noticeable upgrade from the first Frostpunk. While not groundbreaking, the visuals feel more refined and better overall. With FSR Frame Generation, the performance is smoother and I get more FPS compared to the original game.

The soundtrack builds on the iconic melodies of the first game but adds an epic flair. While it’s undeniably good, I still find myself preferring the original Frostpunk soundtrack.
