I was surprised that the reviews have dropped to very positive from when it first launched, so I read a lot of the negative reviews and was not surprised to learn that the complaints are "Controls are bad" "Game requires stealth" and "I have a fairly minor issue but I am not going to answer, or at least troubleshoot inadequately when the dev asks for details when I rate the game badly for this issue". This game and its predecessor are not easy. I cleared the first one fine, though it was hard. People complaining about the stealth necessity, I watched a speed run competitor during beta testing--which was only a few levels--complete and place first in the speed run level completely loud with a shotgun. You are bad. You rate this game badly because you are bad. Long live this dev, making this absolutely excellent homage to MGS and other stealth icons. Do not hesitate to buy this game.

Needs more DLC.
Base game is great.
People complaining about the length of the campaign don't understand what Resident Evil is. "I beat the game in six hours" = "I am not good".
Hardest mode is a ton of fun, very challenging, very rewarding when you finally get through certain areas after developing a plan.
Dodging mechanic feels about as close to the original as it should/could be. You can even use aim to dodge just like the original, which is more useful for certain attacks.
Carlos' section feels a bit different from Jill, more action heavy. That's pretty true to the original as well. Would have been hilarious if the M4 had a % of ammo instead of mags.
Needs more costumes. (Original had over 10 I think?)
I wouldn't hate a few more guns. Though the weapons in the game do have a fairly diverse feel, each difficulty makes each weapon's effectiveness in certain situations change pretty drastically.

Overall I want more but the current state the game is in is absolutely playable, and absolutely worth paying for. Wait for a sale if you aren't a die hard fan like me. Everyone bother Capcom for more content because Jill deserves it.
