This is the first game I will always recommend for first time VR users (unless they have absolutely no interest in guns.)

It is the finest shooting you will experience in VR and the dev (Anton) is an incredible guy.
You owe it to yourself to play this game and experience some of the best VR has to offer.

This is the third time I've tried to request a refund (they denied the first two).

Selling a game in early access with the knowledge that you've shut down the studio and won't be fulfilling the promises you made is scummy (and par for the course for 2k).

This is abandonware, steer clear.

You can't rid yourself of Beach Front that easily.

I bought this, wasn't able to play because of "Unable to establish a connection to game". Refunded and reinstalled the game and it worked fine. Decided to buy it again, and now I'm getting "Unable to establish a connection to game" again.

The game is great. The gameplay is fun, and while it has microtransactions, they're as close to as unobjectionable as possible.

However. I'm sick and tired of publishers releasing these games in unacceptable states like this. Crashing, matchmaking issues, the infamous defrosting screen. It needs to stop.

The game is great, but this review will stay negative.

the dlc cashgrab is ridiculous. god forbid you release a complete game without chopping off chunks to resell to your players for the same price as the basegame

Here's a cool idea. Let's shut down our beloved game so that we can make people pay extra for heroes without TECHNICALLY breaking our promise of never making people pay for heroes in Overwatch (1. In Overwatch 1. But in Overwatch 2, it's totally fine. Tee hee). What's that? You wanted the PvE mode we promised would be in OW2 when it launches? Too bad, we lied about that too.

Easy purchase to support one of the best VR games available.

I whole-heartedly* recommend this game (*with one caveat). Everything here is so well put together. It shows the quality of the game that my primary complaint is simply that there isn't enough of it (my only other complaint is that you can run out of convenient ways to get research parts after a while, which makes finishing your tech tree a grind). I managed to finish the game and get 100% of the achievements in less than 18 hours, and I could have finished the main story in closer to 10. That makes the asking price of $32.50 CAD a little steep, and if you price your playtime to dollar ratio strictly I would recommend waiting for a sale.

With the bad out of the way, all that is left is an amazing entry into the lovecraftian/eldrich/cosmic horror genre. Beautifully presented characters and fish, mysterious zones to explore, and a story with an ending that surprised me with how much it affected me.

If you're even slightly interested in any part of this game, I think you owe it to yourself to buy and play this game.
I also sincerely hope the devs consider doing another game like this, with even more to explore, catch, and discover.
