A charming little rogue-like with a ton of personality, Dead Estate is a fantastic indie game with a lot of charm. While relatively short considering the more popular rouge-like contemporaries, this game simply oozes with passion from the devs, which is clear in every little interaction in the game. An absolute steal at 15 bucks, definitely worth the price!

A well-refined survival experience, which is carefully balanced around having fun, rather than the typical brutality, realism, or tedium you find in most modern survival games. An all-around blast which will satisfy most players. This game sets the bar miles above where it's been for the Early Access program, with a well-polished and rounded experience that will leave you desiring little more than to keep playing. For 20 bucks, it's basically already on sale. Buy it!

A brilliantly designed indie game with a concept that's so genius, it'll make you wonder why it's not been done before.

One of the best games you've never played, Persona 4 stands out among its JRPG brethren (and perhaps VN's in general) as one of, if not the best of each genre.

Cut out the JRPG? You have a cast of lovable, believable characters that will sometimes make you doubt that it's even possible they're all written. Each character has their own mannerisms, quirks, flaws, and well-defined personalities. Cut out the VN elements? What remains is a fantastic JRPG which stands on its own as a game because it's the product of tens of SMT games that came before it, each refining and distilling the formula that gained the core series notoriety in the first place.

Don't even get me started on the music. The music in this game is undeniably masterful. The composer is brilliant, and has blessed Persona 4 with numerous tracks that will stick with you after your playthrough for various reasons (95% positive reasons). There was only 1 track out of all my 100 hours of gameplay that I disliked. That's saying something.

The price-to-hour ratio: Frankly, the price of this game on steam is absurd. ATLUS is practically giving this game away, with an unbelievable 100 hours to 20 dollars ratio, where you're spending about $.20 for each hour you'll be playing the game. And that is assuming you won't be doing a NG+ run, which you might be interested in once all is said and done.

Might I mention that this is the "Golden" version of the game, which is an improved version of the original game. The game has already gone through its early/quirky post-release phase, where players discover and tell the devs what they don't like about the game. Consequentially, it has received numerous gameplay improvements, as well as a hefty story expansion. Additionally, since this game has come to PC, all the sprites and animated segments clearly and cleanly display at the resolution you're playing at (I played at 1440p), which I didn't expect from a port of a PSP game. It's likely the dev team found the original files for most (if not all) of the sprites, and included them in their entirety in the port. Basically, for a game that was initially released on PS2, the sprites looks amazing.

Rarely do I have the pleasure to say that the worst part of a game is that it ends at all. Indeed, Persona 4 is worthy of this distinction. By the credits, you'll be reflecting on the time you spent with your Persona friends, as if it was real. And honestly, maybe it was, in some way. Though some may not have the patience to make it through such a long game, if you do have the patience, and are willing to read a whole lot of dialogue, the payoff is immense.

There are many games you should wait for a sale to pick up, and honestly, if you can't spare $20, there's nothing wrong with that. However, if you can spare that much, this game is worth picking up as soon as possible. If you find it while it's on sale, you're getting an unbelievable deal, regardless of the discount amount. Don't miss this game, no matter what.

While some jank is inevitable in vr (looking at you, grenade tossing), Valve has simply outclassed all other VR games by a mile in this return to form for the Half-life franchise. A love letter to fans, if you enjoyed previous half-life games, this title is a must-play. However, do note that this game leans much more into horror than half-life 2 did, making for some extremely tense moments. The majority of interactions are well thought-out, and the gravity gloves are the pinnacle of control in VR, leaving you almost always satisfied with the result of a gravity grab. I could write a paragraph about the brilliance of the gloves alone, but I'll let you experience that yourself. All in all, it's clear that with this game, Valve has crafted the crowning jewel of VR, and their entire single-player library. My greatest regret about the game is that it's over now. Buy this game if you know what's good for you.

An essential for all VR players

Five Nights at Freddy's is a series I found myself avoiding due to the stigma surrounding it. I broke tradition and purchased game after watching a youtuber play it, and can say with great confidence that it is a masterfully crafted vr horror experience. Don't doubt this game because it belongs to the FNAF series -- You will feel genuine terror when playing.

This game is a lot of fun if you can deal with the crushing defeat you'll experience half the time. Sometimes you will kill, sometimes you will be killed. Some players really will be better than you, regardless of how good you are at other games, and that can be extremely frustrating. However, the various systems in the game will keep you coming back, if you can tolerate that feeling. The building is loads of fun, letting you build anything from a heavily armored bunker, to a cozy cottage. The crafting and upkeep systems are well thought-out, and the pvp is some of the most intense and engaging of any game I've played, partially because all of your equipment and inventory items are on the line every time you pick a fight. If you have the willpower to push through the pain, this game is certainly worth a shot.
