Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother,
And my sisters, and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people,
Back to the beginning!

Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them,
In the halls of Valhalla!
Where the brave may live forever!

What a great game!

Trek to Yomi is absolutely beautiful — I mean truly beautiful — with amazing locations and stunning scenery.
It feels like you're playing through a classic movie, thanks to the fantastic Japanese voice acting and the incredible atmosphere.
The soundtrack is great, the sound design is spot-on, and everything comes together to create a really immersive experience.

Now, about the combat: yes, the enemy variety is a bit limited. You fight the same types throughout the chapters.
But the fights are fun, fast, and engaging. You learn combos as you go, and you can stun and execute enemies, which keeps things dynamic even if you're getting rushed.
Most of the time, fights stay 1v1 or 2v1, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It’s almost like a dance, especially during boss fights — you can either rush in like a madman or take it slow, dodge, parry, get behind them, hit, make space, and maybe even shoot an arrow to open a combo (just one example).

I feel like most of the people complaining about the combat just didn’t vibe with its flow.
It’s not perfect, but I really liked it — and it never felt boring during the time it took me to finish the game.

Highly recommend if you’re into cinematic experiences, with a good story and stylish swordplay.

In Yomi, there is no redemption... only the echoes of regret.
