Have you considered...getting good?

The most jank, unpleasant experience I've had with a Soulslike game and I've played a lot of them. Combat feels extremely bad and jank, the world is ugly, grey and drab, and the level design is nonsensical and confusing; how this game is mostly positive is beyond me.

Decent souls-like with some questionable choices and poor game design. Would probably only recommend trying it when it's deeply discounted.
