This is the kind of game that would have altered my brain chemistry in high school; only took about a half hour to reach the end, but it was one of the more satisfying half hours I've had playing a game.

So, I played Beek when it first dropped on mobile devices some time back... and I hated it. I think my google play review was one star for a long while. The game had one absolutely GLARING issue that ruined it: If you missed two very specific texts, each with a VERY short window to respond, you just couldn't get the good ending. In fact, you were pretty well guaranteed the worst ending. It also wasn't clear which messages were the triggers; I only knew because I eventually found a walkthrough, and even then it was absurdly easy to miss one.

I'm very thankful to say, though, that this issue has been entirely removed, at least in this version; there's now about a 12 hour window to reply to a message, to make up for Steam not having a system for push notifications like your phone would, and that's an absolute life changer for this game. If you're too busy to respond to Beek for a while, that's fine. Check in like twice a day or so, and you're set. Or, this version has a fast forward feature- if you know you'll be busy later, you can bang out an entire day's worth of content in about half an hour.

Plus, the specific messages are now VERY blatant, appearing in a different colored text than your usual replies, immediately signaling that this choice has more weight to it.

Other than that, Beek was- and is- a fine VN, one that plays very well with the formatting of a visual novel. It would probably feel more realistic if I was playing it on my phone, but through Steam is just as satisfying an experience.

Oh no, I'm fully aware that my friends can see what I'm playing. That's why I have the whole series, I don't want them to think I only play one game.

Overwatch was, easily, one of the best games to come out in its time, a game that could rival TF2, where anyone could pick up and play any hero and find the playstyle that works best for them.

This is NOT that game.

OW2 is, at best, a lazy cash-grab. The game locked and locks mountains of content behind paywalls and battle passes, making it essentially pay to win. One of the core game modes was basically thrown out because it was "too hard to balance", the PvE mode was scrapped and unscrapped over and over until now a handful of missions exist for a separate cost, when they were supposed to be free (and the entire reason for the game existing in the first place). This game is a sad husk of what the original was.

Also, notice how they only ever announce that a character is part of some marginalized group (Usually LGBTQ+) when they're back in hot water for something *really* bad.

I'm gonna tentatively recommend this game, just because there's no "Yes, but..." option.

BFN Works great, the only bug I've encountered is sometimes if you time an emote right, it'll override the exit animation. There's yet to be a crash or any game breaking bugs that I've seen.

The biggest issue I take with the game, and this is no fault of the devs or of Jack, is that a lot of people simply aren't funny. Moments before writing this review, I played a round where the prompt was "write a question where the answer is tiktok"- one of the responses was just "give me likes" and the other was a half censored slur.

I really do want to like this game, but it's definitely suited better for private lobbies with friends than it is public games- If nothing else though, I can understand how much terrible content Jack and his Council wades through to find decent content for YIAY.

The game runs horribly: I couldn't use the fazwatch for most of the game because bringing up the cameras would crash it- the main area took a good 20 seconds to load in anything other than the void, and whole sections of the map feel like they were thrown together at the last possible second. More than anything, it feels like a proof of concept that an open world Five Nights is possible. It's also stupid easy to exploit certain things- putting Freddy in one door made the final boss a cakewalk, and I was able to glitch saves back in long before that so I could take my sweet time trial-and-erroring my way through.

And yet, I loved every second of it. I said it's a proof of concept and by God does it prove it well- if they can iron out the bugs in whatever hypothetical sequel I'd gladly come back to the Pizzaplex.

Trying to get a game running in this isn't fun in the slightest- the most fun you can possibly have is the first time you flip the table, after that it's just boring.. And that's saying something considering it's a game literally filled with fun board games.
