While I like this I’m so disappointed having played Spider-man Remastered first. Half the gadgets, half the suits, and half the length of the original.

It’s such a fun game because of how it takes from the original but it’s not a game, it’s long-ish DLC.

Not worth the price tag unless you can get it on sale.

I love these games. Despite playing the same story each time with a little extra each game, this is a nice step up from OPPW3. The graphics are better and the gameplay is different enough to keep being fun. The number of enemies are increased quite a bit. I do look forward to OPPW5 if it ever comes so I can do this again.

I've played many Need for Speed games over the years and I thought I'd treat myself on this beauty. Well there's a few things so far.

1. The servers go down for maintenance at least once a day - they warn you with a notice every 5 minutes for the 15 minutes prior.
2. The servers kick you out, outside of the maintenance windows
3. Why do the servers need daily maintenance?
4. Can you please stop kicking me out mid-race?
5. I deserve better
6. Please

The game doesn't look bad but it's definitely not the best looking game. The music isn't anything like the older titles.

It feels slow compared to older NFS titles. And I mean slow. It's not a fast-paced arcade racer.

How in the world does the drifting work? I mean, I'm winning the drift events but they are so unsatisfactory, I can't keep a drift longer than 3 seconds without the car stopping and I'm still winning this thing?

The police chases are lame. I outrun everything with the BMW the game gave me, virtually stock, I have to SLOW DOWN, a lot.... to keep a police chase going.

I'm going to keep playing you to get the achievements, but I'm going to hate myself while I do it. Provided I don't hate you for kicking me out.

Don't ask me how I racked up so many hours. On an unrelated note, farm is doing well.

First things first. This game is super short. I finished it in 8 hours and that's including most of the side quests (77% completion at the time of writing). Luckily I bought it on a Steam sale so I don't feel I was ripped off.

But don't let it being short, deter you. I found this game to be quite amazing. The graphics are good, not the best cutting edge graphics, but still decent. The ghost abilities are great and it's quite refreshing to not have to walk around everything, just walk through. The voice acting was alright and the sound track suited the game even if it was lacking a little in variety. The lip syncing of the models when speaking was a bit off but other than that it was a pretty solid game.

This is NOT your standard action adventure game, you can't use weapons so there is virtually no confrontation and what is there is pretty basic and very easy.

I encountered no bugs throughout the game, it was solid and polished and I admire that. The story I found extremely captivating and the side quests with the ghost stories were quite chilling at times.

This game is played for the story and it just happens to be delivered to us with a nicely polished game. I could definitely have seen this game being pushed to 3-4x the scale with extra mechanics, locations, characters, side quests, etc introduced throughout and I'm a little sad to have hit the end since it left me hanging on to the story up until the end when everything came out in a giant twist.

For what it was, it was great and I'd recommend it to people but I wouldn't expect anyone to pay any more than $30 for it due to the length and lack of content within the game.

I just can't recommend this game and this is coming from someone who recommended Duke Nukem Forever (assuming it's on sale). The graphics are extremely dated, I'm sure this would have been great in 2008. Like seriously dated. All the characters look the same, all the enemies are identical, all static props (such as people stuck in beds with facehuggers) are all the same model and textures. The cut scenes are terrible with frame rate issues, although the game itself has run great so far, no idea how that works. Invisible walls EVERYWHERE and constant clipping issues. In the first mission I got the legendary gun but guess what, I managed to swap my pulse rifle with it, so now I've been stuck for about 7 hours with two shotguns. Only just now have I managed to find out by Googling "colonial marines two shotguns" that it's a widely criticised issue, but thank god next time I play it I can switch guns, the game just doesn't tell you this. All previous attempts to search for "colonial marines machine [pulse] gun missing" or similar actually has people complaining of an error where they were holding invisible guns. Seriously? I've been stuck 7 hours with two shotguns because you don't tell me when I pick up a gun that it will replace my current or how to get my pulse rifle back and when trying to find out why I'm stuck with two shotguns (like many other people have complained) I am hit with search results for actual missing gun glitches. This game should never have been released. I only play it because once I got that first achievement, it knocked all my achievement stats down and I'm trying to bump it back up.

RAGE is the gameplay of an extremely solid shooter, the graphics of a 2015 game and the atmosphere of Fallout all rolled into one. It is NOT an RPG, it has its quirks and is a little off-track for id Software who have some things to learn in the sandbox world but this is seriously a good game. I love watching the characters talk, each character is unique, the facial animations are great and there has been an insane amount of detail adhered to throughout. You will notice some texture popping, the textures are generally low-res and don't look the best up close but I would still say the graphics are modern and to 2015 standards as I find myself in awe each time I leave a city and view the landscape or when I take in the insane amount of detail in the textures. The shooting mechanics are extremely engaging. I find myself shooting off helmets to get headshots, the enemies dodge, duck, dip, dive and.... dodge. Shoot a mutant running at you and it'll react accordingly. The guns generally feel good and the different types of ammo you can equip change the game play nicely. I haven't found it overly difficult as of yet and that's fine for me but others might want more of a challenge. So far I'm very much enjoying it and while the story hasn't been too engaging, it's a damn fine shooter.

I haven't played this game for long but it's enough to at least start a review. Number 1, IT IS EXTREMELY BUGGY. I've had it crash twice with fatal errors (not a BSOD, the game will shut and give me a write memory dump option). The physics are extremely haphazard, it actually broke one point in the game and I'm still just getting into the game. The graphics are fairly nice, the atmosphere is great, some as you'd expect Tomb Raider puzzles and the action has me pretty on edge. I'd recommend it at the moment as I'm looking forward to playing more, but with the warning that you can expect it to crash or glitch out.

There's both a lot of love and a lot of hate for this game. I played it quite intently for a while and recently got back into it. Even in 2015, 4 years after release, I'm enjoying it. The graphics aren't terrible or 'dog poo' as some metacritic users call it. The graphics are actually nice when you crank everything to full and I still think it looks great. The movement does require some work, I get stuck every now and then on what should be little drops and transitions between ground objects. The combat system is really in-your-face, similar to Condemned but more brutal with some nice weapon mods. The stamina system isn't an overly new idea, each swing takes stamina and you have to think about what you're doing instead of flailing your weapon around, you can also only run for so long. Many people seem to hate this, these people also seem to hate anything that takes effort. The RPG elements are good for the time, it has a nice in-game achievement tracker and I look forward to finishing it soon (currently at 85% main story). Dying Light is going to effectively be the successor to this and I look forward to it even more, as it seems the logical direction after playing Dead Island, despite all the hate. Definitely give it a go if you want to smash and dismember zombies with melee weapons in all their g[l]ory.

The first time I played this, I thought it was extremely boring. A turn based strategy game? Come on. I've always played other games such as Starcraft for my RTS fix because of the speed at which you play. But after coming back and forcing myself to sit down and play it, I found that while the games do go for a long time and I do like a quick win, this game is really good and really detailed. A single match on the smaller maps can take a couple of hours on their own but there's so much you can do that the game feels fresh at every step along the way. I make sure to turn off combat animations and movement animations though, just to make it that slight bit faster.
