I play this game with mods because I didn't want to grind.

SOCIAL
I love Vincent, Jas, and Penny, and spend all my time on improving their friendship.

FARMING
Farming is extremely calming and it's very lovely to see my crops grow.

HOUSE
I love my house. I made rooms where I just placed a couch and a painting and some nice flooring and background and just looking at the room makes me feel calm.

FISHING
I never fish and I don't really care about fishing.

Honestly?

It’s not THAT great.

I’m giving this a thumbs down by virtue of it being entirely overhyped and the writing and world aren’t really as good as they said it would be

I'm updating this review in response to the death of Alec Holowka. With the influx of negative reviews revolving around this issue, I don't think it's fair to review this game negatively in response to real-life events that are irrelevant to this game. In the end, Night in the Woods is a heartwarming game with a wonderful story. The death of the game's programmer doesn't change that.
