Does Deus Ex: Revision SUPPLANT Deus Ex as the definitive experience?

Probably not.

Does Deus Ex: Revision have a hilarious achievement for delivering a pizza across a map through multiple terrorist engagements?
Does Deus Ex: Revision encourage you to lug the (possible) corpse of a loved one through a secret graveyard level, rewarding you for your sheer emotional investment with a genuine gameplay challenge fit for the open-minded and absurd?
Does Deus Ex: Revision finally let you shoot down the plane?

Yes, it does.

Deus Ex: Revision encourage you to experiment with the most experiment-happy mindblowingly elaborative product of the future (2052, circa 2000) in gaming history.

It allows you to experience a comfortably modernized version of this gaming pillar whilst still living within the soulful boundaries of the original trenchcoat lover's secret agent dream - never does the experience feel compromised, never does Deus Ex feel anything less than idolized by this CONTINUALLY UPDATED AND FOREVER EXPANDED labor of love, now blessed with additional game modes and bugfixes that will NEVER come to the original (and still wonderful) product.

TL;DR...
Reload is now 'R' instead of 'Semicolon'. Don't kid yourself.
