Cured my gaming addiction

Cyberpunk 2077 (and its Phantom Liberty DLC) is one of the best video games I have ever played. It was intriguing and immersive from start to finish. The story was consistently entertaining, unpredictable, and emotional, and there was never a point in my 60 hour playthrough where I felt bored or unsatisfied. The game's not-so-subtle commentary about the rot of American corporate capitalism was spot on and never felt shoehorned in. The world of Night City is and always will be rotten to the core, and every aspect of the game emphasizes the dystopian reality of this world you live in. The gameplay itself is great, and the combat strikes a good balance of making V feel powerful while still giving the player a challenge. I also enjoyed the voice acting, particularly Keanu Reeves' performance as Johnny Silverhand and Idris Elba's performance as Reed in the DLC. On top of this, I barely touched the tip of the iceberg that is the game's build variety, and am eager to go back to explore.

The game does suffer from some bugs and glitches, but significantly fewer than you would expect based on all the bad press this game got. Additionally, I never encountered a bug that significantly inhibited my gameplay experience (for context, the worst bugs I got were very rarely getting stuck in the walls and floors when taking elevators or running, and this only happened a few times and was easily fixed by reloading my save).

I am so happy to have given this game a chance, as it was undoubtedly one of the best and most memorable gameplay experiences I've ever had. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.
