A non-DMC fan playing this for the first time would probably think this is the best game ever, but to a long-time fan, it falls short of their expectations, and it's clear to me that the devs did a fantastic job with the game design but absolutely messed it up with some of the characters, their attributes and design. My only gripe with this game is the Mundus boss fight because it felt so underwhelming as I expected more. That being said, i'd give this a 9/10 because I'm a partial fan of DMC (I haven't finished the other games).

If breath of fresh air was personified, it would be this game

10/10 dialogue, 10/10 story, 10/10 cutscenes, 6/10 shirtless men fighting
As much as this checks off everything I love in a videogame, it lacks a sufficient amount of naked men fighting. I would still recommend it tho.
