Rain World is a beautiful game that puts every other survival game to shame. the sprites look so good that I often questioned if they were even sprites at all, and the sound design is subtle yet amazing. The sound design in one part of the ending (if you've beaten it you know what i'm talking about) literally took my breath away and made me pause the game to think about it. The game holds your hand very little, only telling you the basic movement and a general direction to go in, which can be frustrating at first as you die to seemingly unavoidable threats, but as you learn the game better you figure out how to avoid these threats yourself, which is a much better experience than being told by some tutorial. Rain World requires a lot of patience, as you will be dying a lot in the early stages, but it is very worth it for one of the best survival experiences ever.
