The stability and stuttering issues are real. Pretty bad for the first 2 hours of the game but then they seem to get better, but without ever fully going away. This game basically boils down to using your magic to solve platforming puzzles followed by super repetitive and clunky combat in a very anemic feeling fantasy world.

The skill tree progression leaves nothing to get excited about. Parry timings feel off on all difficulties so combat basically devolves into light attack combo, followed by light attack combo, followed by… you get the picture. And to be honest you can just bring down the bosses in the same way. There doesn’t seem to be anything about upgrading weapons, so with that build crafting is completely non-existent.

So far all of the characters are basically the shells of what you would expect and there’s nothing interesting about their relationships. The protagonist is broody, moody and pissed off at the world and everyone in it, and is the most unlikable main/playable character I think I’ve ever encountered. The voice acting is fine enough, I like that they seem to have scanned the voice actors for this game, that’s a nice touch. The problem is the dialogue is rather dull and the story is boring and unimaginative, so I don’t care about it at all.

The most peculiar thing about this game is that the puzzles are sprinkled with these treasure chests that don’t actually seem to have any treasure in them. Just journal entries that expand on the lore. No weapons, ability upgrades, costumes etc, nothing that you would typically consider desirable unless you want your gaming session to turn into novel reading. I spend time hopping around and climbing to figure out the way to these chests only to open them and get left with a hollow feeling of, why the heck did I even bother doing that.

Final take, this game delivers on the experience of running through a nice looking world and solving puzzles. I would still recommend this game but only if you really like puzzle solving, because the combat is not great at all.

Playing right now in 2.2 is amazing, the game feels really good and story and world are the most immersive and impressive I've possibly ever seen. 10/10

Yeah this game is good, kinda like World War Z meets Gears of War but with more melee options and like a old school xbox 360 vibe, in a good way. I have like almost hundred hour in and a couple classes maxed out and I'm really enjoying it. Can't wait to see what the future updates bring.
