Stardew Valley is the patron saint of "Dad Games", in my mind. Games for playing when you've had a stressful day at the job and you want to sit back and de-stress.

That's not to say there's not depth to this game. Insane depth if you allow it to. You can maintain whatever farming lifestyle you prefer, or you can min-max every dime you can if you so choose. All of it is supported by an invaluable wiki managed by the developer themselves.

Stardew Valley, to me, might be the greatest indie game of all time, something that took the genesis of a good idea in Harvest Moon and perfecting it. It might be equaled, but it will never, ever be topped.
