If you're a dead space fanboy i'd recommend getting this on a sale in the future. At launch in it's current state it's not really something you'd want to play unless you can handle the performance issues and some irritating hiccups or you just wanna throw your money on something. The story is generic and poorly developed beyond belief, the same issue extending to the characters, but it's servicable enough as an excuse to move foward, and good enough warranting a (hopefully) more interesting sequel. In terms of visuals, effects, and environment design this game is virtually unprecedented, almost achieving photorealism at times and setting a new standard for next-gen. Even better considering that the game runs on UE4 rather than UE5. Gameplay is mostly centered around melee-combat and doesnt really work that well in certain sections, but becomes more interesting when you get access to the GRP-module and gain the ability to use the environment to your advantage. The detailed and complex gore system also helps to improve it a lot.
