Cons:
-Second half of the game isn't QUITE as good as the first (but is still awesome)
-Slow movement speed can be annoying at times
-Inventory management can get tedious
-Certain textures are noticeably low-res (even when running the game at maxed settings like I do)

Pros:
+Great and surprising story, with dialog that's actually pretty good
+Scary and atmospheric as Hell
+World-class audio design
+Awesome soundtrack and voice acting
+Feels just like classic, pre-4 Resident Evil games
+Wonderfully paced, and doesn't wear out its welcome like Alien: Isolation
+Excellent lighting and visuals

The best Resident Evil game since 4.

9.75/10

The second half of the game is still awsome and far better than any of the other Re's, i think the reason it has that feeling is because the first half of the game is outstanding, the game starts off with a bang! The movment would only be slow because you have the resoulution to high for your machine to handle, i noticed the same thing on high resolution but i just lowered it to suit my machine and it was fast and smooth.

I have no problem with RE exactly, Love your media and ya, 4 is nice, and the movies
I'm still available to answer messages gaming companies, or oversee, or assist in some quality games if you ever change, or see making something quality can be worth it. Lots of you tech ish companies have seemed too under staffed for years, and lost plenty of business.

I mean games like all or most Ghost in the shell ones, Bloodborne, The Last of Us, Silent Hill. Still not on PC I don't think. Lots of Japanese and only released on console games they just port years latter without any effort, and with trash textures, and no effort too. Even the Harry potter games for pc... Total face palms for the most part. No reason they can't add full gfx options including ui size, and variouse levels of detail and any resolution monitors come in and stuff. How hard is it for you companies to let the programmers put a check box or slide bar so we have basic should be standard pc options so the thing runs and is worth buying? The only standardization seems to be censorship, and lack of quality. Just buy every month your new rail FPS game pc users and shut up it seems like is the expectation.

For a new game like Resident Evil that seems cheap. I guess I forgot to drop to my knees that they even launched a game for the pc master race. It's like they designe a game for console only and pc is a after thought they patch together something that will somewhat run instead of utilizing the power, and ability of a pc to run any game, and rightfully launch all or atleast the well made general ones for pc too and not half ass ports.

@Wastes: I know. It's weird, and for the most part the game looks amazing on a technical level. But some textures are just really blocky-looking up close, even when texture quality and filtering are set to max.Not a whole lot of them, mind, just some.

Low res textures? What's that about?

What the hell is wrong with these people? It's like most of you think RE5 an GOD FORBID RE6 are better than RE4 and below. 5 and 6 can be fun but come on, nowhere NEAR as good as 4!

This is better then 4.
