A well crafted nostalgia trip for Heroes 3 with auto-battles. It's great! Even with the auto-battles you have plenty of control over the outcome via positioning, troop selection, and spells/abilities. As of this review, it's still in early access and the developer has already referenced new factions and updates coming. If you liked Heroes 3, get this game and you'll likely get at least 10 hours out of it. About ~40 hours for me to complete all achievements.

Interesting attempt, but the rules leave open too much randomness to counter thought out tactics. You could set yourself up perfectly and still get wrecked with several bad rolls and resets of rolls. Sure there are some adjustments you can make to those rules, but overall I just didn't have FUN playing this game.

Great game for being Early Access - lots of room for improvements and new content, seems like replayability will be there too. Hopefully the developers can continue to spend time on it, because with more content and random encounters I expect I'll be back for another 40 hours in the future.

This game has a unique concept that I hope the developers will come back to - currently the game is unfinished, but provides several hours of fun gameplay.

Another solid entry from Supergiant Games - great replay value and I love the cheeky storyline and ever-evolving world. My forearms hurt, due to the sheer focus during gameplay.

Well worth the time spent - it's part puzzle game and part reaction time at the end. Great story too - solid degeneracy.

Comparing to Sim Tower - takes forever to get the game rolling. No feedback at beginning on how to get started - not an improvement.

I uhhhh, I don't get it. It's just not for me I suppose. I tried going through the tutorial and just couldn't seem to get going and really didn't get a good understanding of the game. I tried a second time going through the tutorial a little quicker knowing how a few things worked... Still didn't grasp what the point of it was, and got frustrated a couple times when the game details / info on how to build was less than useful. There's too many other good games out there to feel dumb during a tutorial, tutorials are there for hand-holding - not to try to "push you" to come up with some correct answer. Explain how the game works, explain good building practices, explain how to more quickly automate things... In any case, a lot of people seem to like this game, and that's awesome.

Can't wait for new content and the finished story, really enjoying the action and play style.
