Interesting but not for me. Seemed very clunky and I wasn't in control of the character during combat. It's great that there's lots of voice acting but some of the grunts and groans people make sound really sexual and odd. Also, I didn't like that I essentially only had 2 skills to pound away between as a Mage.

OK YES I LIKE IT BUT WHY IS THE TRANSLATION SO BAD!?

My opinion growing up has always been Digimon is way cooler than Pokemon. This game further proves it. The game puts you into a story-driven adventure whereby along the way you collect and train Digimon. No generic "become the world's best trainer and collect them all, here's a pokemon, pat you on the back, and go on your way" this game instead thrusts you into an actual story which is interesting different.

Along the way you collect and train Digimon, and focus on Digivolving and De-Digivolving them to min/max attributes and put together the perfect team. If you are a fan of Digimon, you might not know the names of the baby forms, so another interesting sub game emerges where you are shown a silhouette of what a Digimon can turn into and you can try and guess to get your favorites. Combat takes turn much like Pokemon with turn-based combat, but the similarities end there. Instead of 1v1 all the time, the game can put you against 1-3 enemies, and your team can consist of 1-3 active Digimon as well. There is a turn order gauge and combat relies on extorting the gauge to get the most hits in. The only thing I will say negative about combat is that there are a ton of types and elements to worry about and no visual cues to help you along the way. You'll suddenly find you are doing half damage and then discover you don't have the right "type" to help you.

The story is interesting, the characters are kind of interesting which leads me into my one big gripe. The translation is ATROCIOUS. Like so bad you can have no idea what is going on. A major event just occurred in game, avoiding spoilers, but someone was abusing a Digimon, and due to the translation I was sucked right out of the game. The characters were spouting gibberish and switching up from super sad to super happy from one message box to the next. It made no sense at all. Then everyone just dispersed like nothing had happened and one of the characters was flirting with me? It made no sense. And it has happened a few times. At times you won't even know if the game is hinting at something or if its an error with the translation. And then the character will say something off the wall and you'll be even more confused.

Within dialogue, you will find untranslated Japanese words. Sometimes the game seems to even realize this and says something like "that means, xxx" but this doesn't help at all. Why not just replace the word to begin with? There's also a problem as in any Japanese game where the characters still have Japanese names making it hard to remember and decipher who is who and who they are talking about at time. Kumiko, Kurama, Kuragano. These are all great Japanese names, but if you aren't Japanese, they seem to blend together making it hard to know what they're blabbering about.

Overall I wish Steam had a middle of the road button. The GAMEPLAY here is amazing, so much better than any Pokemon game I've played before, the story is also really good, but the dialogue is just so out there due to translation issues, I don't know if I'd recommend it.

The combat is a button mash fest with some weird boss fight style timing patterns thrown in. I'm not a huge fan but strangely other than grinding which is easy there aren't too many battles to worry about. It's all story and one-off battles, where if you save often you don't have to worry and can just reset it.

The story is not complete or cohesive unless you have a clue what's going on from the anime or TV show, but it's interesting and the graphics are amazing and there's a lot of easter eggs and references if you know the story from Dragonball even though this story starts sometime in Dragonball Z. Character interactions are about 3 seconds long but there is a lot of dialogue and it seems like the original voice actors, or at least, everyone so far has sounded like I expect them to after previous games and the anime.

I got it on sale, and it has been worth the price so far. There's a lot of silly collectibles, things are not explained, and its a typical DBZ game in that sense. As mentioned, I don't like the combat but hopefully if things get too tough I can knock back the difficulty a bit to keep progressing in the story. The one other thing I don't like is it hops between characters so much. I thought this was like an open world game. The game is called Kakarot for gosh sakes but so far I've only played Goku for about 15 minutes. The rest of the time I have been Piccolo or Gohan. I have the ability to make a team of characters but since the story makes no sense for me to have a team, they don't let you have one. Likewise on the field there seem to be things that only a certain character could access, but I haven't been given the opportunity (or explained how) to change characters.

Overall if you like DBZ you will like this. If you like fighting games, you might like this. If you like action games, you will like this. If you want to experience the DBZ story, you will like this, but you won't have a full grasp on what's going on.

WONT EVEN LAUNCH!!! Useless "Social Club launcher" everytime you launch the game it says "you need to be signed in" and then just quits.

But if you seperately open the Rockstar launcher, I AM signed in. This is why steam needs to STOP these companies from implementing their own launchers and DRMS this is so frustrating. Wasted all this time messing with the game. I give up. Give me my refund, And thanks for wasting my time.

It's really chill and beautiful. I played this game while waiting anxiously and nervously for a delivery when you aren't really sure what to do and don't want to stand at the door like a creeper.

This game was perfect for that! Although my time on the puzzle was a bit skewed. I did an easy one and a hard one and enjoyed both. Looking forward to this whenever I want a chill game to play. I'm not sure how many puzzles there are, or if the pieces are randomized at all, but those are not big issues since there looks to be a lot of gameplay here. And it was on sale too! Great pickup.

I hate this game! It looked cool but the game is so boring and nothing is explained well at all. There's a billion windows and thousands of little text boxes on screen at any time and you literally can't do anything you want to do.

You have to decipher literally 3 paragraphs of text to understand what clicking anything does,

This was the worst purchase I have ever made, I wish I could get a refund. I would not recommend this unless you want to throw money into a fire.

I like the idea of this game but its too frustrating. There is literally a man walking around that you can barely avoid and if he catches you he steals all your money. Everything. Back to 0. You need money for everything in this game. I really liked the story but the battles are too hard and having it all gone in an instant totally sucks.

Lots of the game is not explained well, like I literally cannot figure out how to switch fighting styles again since the tutorial. The button described in the help does not work.

About 12 hours in, I am having a blast. The story is really confusing due to all the terminology they throw at you, but the graphics are stunning, and the battle system is fun. I just hate that there are SO many battles. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I think 10 hours of the game has just been battles. It's a fun system but it's really grating when it seems like you just go from 5 battles to cutscene to 10 battles, to cutscene, to 15 battles, to cutscene, to boss, and rinse and repeat.

I also hate that they force you to split up and be certain characters. Right now I'm forced to be the gunner and the mage girl and they literally suck as a team. But yet the game is throwing a super hard boss at them as if they were good characters.

As an example, in game, they have a "rating" system for battles and every time this gunner guy is in the party I know I will get 0-2 stars because he sucks so bad and is so week it takes literally forever to do anything. Even his character sucks I just wish he would die, honestly. I am hoping he does. There was a "sad" cutscene about him just a few minutes ago and I'm sorry I literally started laughing.

Oh and speaking of laughing, what is the reasoning behind these names? Seriously!? Is this a bad English port where the character's names didn't translate? Several main characters names are "Snow, Lighting, and Hope". Those are not names. Don't be ridiculous, Square.

I recommend people try this game, for me personally it just wasn't a hit. The game was stuttering on my PC, and I didn't really understand it very much. Took me almost all of my limited playtime to figure out how to change my character from a wooden doll. And now he is a metal doll. Why I don't know.

You can visit other peoples galleries but for what purpose? Just to buy copies of their art? I just didn't get it.

I think its a beautiful game and has lots of potential but it seemed a little barren and aimless at the moment. The tutorial literally hand holds you for only a few minutes and then dumps you in to go explore. No hints as to what to do? How do I earn money? By people visiting my gallery. Okay, so do I need to make a better gallery? How do I get people to come? There's no information or hints so you're left on your own.

Screenshots are stunning, I don't think I'd have the patience or the ability to make anything close with the limited understanding of and limited amount of tools I'd seen. It's a pass for me, at least while it is Early Access. I hope to see this game shine!

2-stars. This game is HARD and I don't like it. It's cute and fun classic Sonic, you can get lost in the levels they are so big and detailed, but the bosses are very hard and losing repeatedly is a painful experience with no way to progress. In the middle of a game I was randomly taken to a minigame before I even realized what was happening.

It's great to harken back to the days of old, but some of the modern conveniences like autosaving/checkpoints, even some sort of boss tips of some sort, would be welcome advances this game should incorporate rather than ignore.

I remember Sonic Rush on the Gameboy Advance was such a great game, this game looked similar, but is too challenging and frustrating that I haven't progressed past the Futuristic City level shown in the screenshots, which isn't very far into the game at all.
