story, combat, gameplay - all substantially weaker than the first one (and combat wasn't perfect in the first one at all either) - graphics were 15/10 though - if you liked the first one (and you should buy and play that IMO) pick this up only when on sale for $20 or lower to find out what happens next

i didn't like the first half tbh compared to other resident evil games - but game gets good once you get to the killdozer 👌

RE2 Remake is the better one and Mr. X is more Nemesis in that than Nemesis is in this, but this is still very fun and lots of classic action movie nods

Good, immersive game. Graphics are great and aside from a bad target switch mechanic, combat is nice (I ended up dodging continuously instead of target switching).

I found this game a little hard to get in to, and this is as a classic Resident Evil fan. Controlling felt a bit awkward/clunky. While I don't want just a shooter, and I was handling stealth well - when you allow me only 5 bullets and the bad guys get unlimited ammo shotguns to 2/3 hit kill me - I start rolling my eyes. It also just didn't feel engaging. A lot of good stuff is there for fans of the survival horror genre, it's just hard to get into IMO.
